After reading that A.J. Jacobson recently passes 1000 career points, I started to wonder who else is close. I currently have Devin Coyle at 1001 points. Does anyone know of other athletes that have passed, or are likely to pass 1000 points this season. I imagine Dexter Werner is close, or has already gone over.

This is hard to do. For the sake of easy math. Let's say a player averages 20 games a year and plays 3 years. If they score 10 as a soph the is 200. 15 as a junior is another 300. They have to average 25 as a senior to hit 1000 points. Pretty tough to do when you add it all up!

Agreed. Very difficult to do in only three seasons. I think in this senior class, Bontjes and Arvidson will have realistic chances to get there. I am not sure about Fischer of Jamestown. I think we will see about 15 guys go over 1000 in the next two years, as the juniors in the EDC and sophomores statewide are very good.

Dani Clarke from Williston went over 1000 a few weeks ago. I know you weren't talking girls here but I thought I would mention it.

She has been having a great season. To add to this, A.J. Jacobs went over 1000 points on Saturday as well.
