thanks Bisonslayer, theres alot of things you can do with the 2008 NCAA Football. Im still learning alot about it myself. My Updates and Game Re-Caps should continue to get better as this dynasty progresses.

*2007: Big East Champions 11-2

*2007 Bowl Game: Fed Ex Orange Bowl (W) vs Maryland 48-17

*Lost 6 Players with Post Season Honors from 2007, Including 2nd Team All-American (CB) Rod Council. They arent that affected by the loses, as they were pre-loaded with Depth and Talent. The lone lose that will actually affect them is Brian Brohm (QB) a 1st round Draft Choice by the NFL.

*2008 Cardinals Top Players and Outlook:

Image Eric Wood (SR) C

NCAA Rank: 98 (OVR) *PRE-SEASON ALL-AMERICAN

Eric Wood is a devastating Blocker and Leader of this High-Octane Cardinal Offense. A Rimington Award Candidate...Wood should be the first Center taken in the NFL Draft of '08.

Image George Stripling (SR) HB

NCAA Rank: 92 (OVR)

Stripling is listed as probable, after a ankle injury sidelined him half-way thru their victory of the Kentucky Wildcats in the opener. Stripling rushed for 1073 yards and 14 Td's in 2007. Hes a lightning quick Half-back that uses a bruising approach, and is known throught the Big-East for breaking tackles. If Stripling is out...No worries for the Cards as JR HB Montario Hardesty(91 OVR rating) is right on his heels, and possibly more talented  overall!

*The 2008 Louisville Cardinals are the Big East Favorite once again. They have an explosive Offense and a very Speedy Defense to counter with. At Papa John Stadium they become even more of a Monster.

Louisville,KY (Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium): The Cyclone vs Cardinals match-up was a true "Knock-Down Drag-out", in every sense of the word! The Weather of just straight DOWNPOUR added to the event. The two teams combined for 12 turnovers (6 apiece) and 67 points! Louisville led 28-21 entering the 4th quarter, with the football. The Cyclones would take it away on the opening play (of the 4th) with a Adam Carper INT, and roll on to 21 un-answered points! The Cyclones would lead 35-28 late in the 4th, with Louisville driving. James Smith (FS) would intercept a Cardinal pass and take it to the House, sealing a huge Iowa St victory on the road vs #8 Louisville team.

*2007: 3-9 (2-6 11th Place Big Ten)

*No-Bowl

*The 2007 version of the Iowa Hawkeyes struggled to say the least. 2-6 and last in the Big 10 Conference didnt sit well with the Hawkeye faithful, or Coach Ferentz. Very Talented group of Jr-Sr just couldnt get it done in crunch time. All-American Candidate and SR Albert Young was hampered the entire season with a hamstring injury, and they never seemed to get in sink.

*2008: Return 5 (defensive starters) and 8 (offensive starters).

Image #47 Mitch King (SR) DT *Defensive Playmaker

NCAA RANK: 94 (OVERALL)

* At 6-4 266 King is an undersized-agile DT that disrupts plays with speed and quickness off the ball.

Image #88 Dominique Douglas (JR) WR *Impact

*NCAA RANK: 92 (OVERALL)

6-1 188 (JR) WR that combines the total package, and the uncanny ability to make spectacular catches in crucial situations. Douglas caught 52 balls for 556 yards and 4 td's in 2007.

     KINNICK STADIUM-IOWA CITY,IA

Image BATTLE FOR THE CY-HAWK

The Cy-Hawk Trophy is awarded to the winner of the Iowa-Iowa State football game. It was first presented in 1977 when the Des Moines Athletic Club donated the trophy as a prize for the rivalry game's winner. That game was the first time the two schools had met since 1934. The trophy features a football, a running back in the classic stiff-arm pose, and the likenesses of Iowa State's Cy the Cardinal and Iowa's Herky the Hawk.

CY-HAWK TROPHY STAYS IN IOWA CITY!

Image

The Iowa Hawkeyes retain the Cy-Hawk Tophy and this Speed-Option play is the reason. It was 3rd down and 2 to go, and it looked as though the Hawkeyes would settle for a field goal (as we had stuffed them on most of the games short-yardage plays). They get the TD and the 17-12 win!

James Smith (FS) would intercept this pass giving the Cyclones a 30-23 lead with less than 2 minutes remaining in the ball-game. The Pitt Panthers would not give in, marching 80-yards and forcing OT. The Cyclones would force a fumble scooped up by Adam Carper (MLB) and Brad Culbertson would boot thru the winner 33-30. The Panthers were a tough Big East foe that forced us to score alot of points.

Iowa St (3-1)
