i have two cats, one is named guiness (a black shorthair with a white tip on his tail...body build of a panther). the other is parker (a black fluffy thing with a patch of white on her chest...she looks like a bobcat and has a stubby tail that looks broken).

my dad has a german shepperd-rottweiler (spelling?) cross that i grew up with on weekends and thought was one of the greatest dogs ever. not a bad hunting dog (got tired after maybe an hour and then followed you, but had a pretty decent nose and didn't seem to get too far away) and had a pretty good temperment (fairly playful and was good natured around kids).

my mom had a pair of cats that i lived with during the week. wishek (a white long hair that had black markings on her back that looked like a smiley face...found her as a stray on a family road trip just outside of wishek, hence the name) and luca (orange fluffy thing that my mom taught to play fetch).

i ended up with cats because my house has a decent yard but if i was going to have a dog, i want a big one and don't quite have the setup for a big one. and with cats i can go to state tournaments and not have to worry about them...leave them food and water and they are pretty happy.

The question isn't about goats. Why would you want a goat. Do you like cats or dogs better?

How are cats smarter than dogs? Do you ever see a cat competition show on TV where they jump through hoops? No.
