I think that this is a real testament to how stron the EDC is this year. 2 teams in the top 5 in the state, and five runners in the top 10 overall.

I feel like Waha Sem (North) should be in the rankings and not Scheel (Davies). The times only look good in Dickinson because the course was short but I will disprove my statement above if Scheel dominates at the WF Invite today.

thoughts on the race:

shanley continues to underperform preseason expectations, north surprises, west fargo performs as expected, central finally finds their stride, and red river misses their no. 5 giving them a bad result.

new edc rankings:
1 GFC
2 North
3 RR (only because i think that missing their number 5 was a huge problem for them)
4 WF
5 Davies
6 Shanley
7 Devils Lake
8 South
9 Valley City
10 Wahpeton

and may i also add, i believe north will contend with central along with possibly wf and rr for the title.

The thing with Shanley is that both Naylors are recovering from injuries (both are going to be back next week), but things will change come EDC time...just wait and see

yep for sure run4fun i see what youre saying. however my thoughts on that is that even if they do come back well which is a huge question mark they dont have those frontrunners they need to get at the top ranks. look at central, north, rr, and wf for example. central has their whole top 3, north has sem, rr has mendee and francois, wf has baltezore. they will have five very solid runners for sure but maybe just not enough... do you think dana will get back to a point where he could consistently finish with those guys?

no but Daniel Naylor will be back at 100 percent (he ran JV yesterday)...you also need to realize that every one of the shanley runners ran the meet a little differently this meet. Things will change as the season progresses...just wait and see. I will say this: this is year is a VERY balanced year...truthfully anything could happen. I'm not saying Shanley will win the EDC title this year, they should be Top 3 at EDCs
