Well technically didn't Mendee take Round 1 at the Jamestown meet?? So the WF Invite would be Round 2...

Well to get even more technical the Northwood invite on Thursday will be round two, therefore the WF invite will be round three

Well I was kinda thinking meets were it would be just the EDC teams, as in the WF invite will be EDC round one (same course, same teams etc etc)...

Quit a confident statement considering all things are possible at state. I wouldn't be surprised with the Grand Forks boys getting 1 and 2 at state, not in any specific order.

I think the GF boys have a better chance at finishing maybe 2 & 3 at State...Leingang of Bismarck is kinda in a "League" of his own right now; (15:07 for 3 miles...so an actual 5k time would be more like 15:37...that's FAST)

yes it is a confident statement, leingang ran the equivalent of a 15:37 5k, i dont see anyone touching that, and there is no way they would go 1 and 2, that was just a stupid statement

at the Rusty Bucket - he ran a 18:54 for a 3 mile course (equivalent to a 19:40); he got 38th out of 3 teams being there...not that impressive to me

I'm getting sick of your crap. You obviously are either here to stir trouble, or you really have no idea on what you're talking about. There is only one Century runner that you could ATTEMPT to sell me on, and that's Levi Sether.

Are we sure that the Rusty Bucket isn't short of three miles?? If it is actually three miles Leingang has the fastest three mile time in the nation for this season by two seconds... he is a good runner but not that good.

Maybe he is?...but I've heard that Bismarck has a reputation for exaggerating a little...but that's just something I've heard from other runners...

It was three miles, and leingang was one of the top freshman last year nationally, so im not surprised.

Alright then assuming what your saying is true, his translated 5k would be 7th in the nation... I doubt he is even in the top 10 for CC right now considering is 1600m and 3200m wasn't even fast enough to break into the top 100 last year. I'm not saying he can't be among the elite and be one of the better runners in the nation, I just don't think he is fast enough right now to be top 10.

Well cross country and track are completely different competition wise, there are alot of kids who run cross and are amazing, but they put up average track times. its obvious that the longer the race, the better leingang is. so dont be surprised if he would be ranked that high

Agreed. He has almost no competition in this whole state.

Yes I agree he is head and shoulders above everyone else in the state, he will most definitely dominate the state meet and I wouldn't be surprised if he did make it into the top 50 in the nation this year.

Leingang has no competition in class A, but in the Kiwanis meet Ken Wells of Parshall was very close to Jake only twenty seconds behind him

So are these predictions that Leingang will be beat? Sorry buddy but 20 seconds is a lot to make up on somebody in one month, especially when you're talking times under 16.
