Who is going to run the table in the east? i see wf being superior. 14 returning seniors, majority played varsity last year, that's my pick for the season. How about you guys?

agreed. south lost at least 14 seniors alone last year, and theyre only hope it seems like was matt keim and mike levich, who both just suffered injuries in the last week. shanley is still too young to go very far, north lost 3 very important seniors in ben albright, elliot randenbagh, and josh lapka. central also lost 3 vital seniors in sean cano, kris scott, and alex nagel (edc's player of the year). And the new Davies squad is even younger and more inexperienced than shanley. not very sure on red river though. i see it going as this

1) West Fargo
2) South
3) Shanley
4) Central or North

I agree 100%. but my way of thinking of it is, i believe north will be better than shanley. shanley is good, but they wont be as good since they lost mat glogoza. micheal dance, hager borthers, and trent olson i believe is his name will have to hold there team's ground if they wanna succeed. soo i kinda see it as

1) Wf
2)South
3)North
4)central or shanley

The season is about half over---and not a word on this site?
I watched part of the Shanley-West Fargo game in WF tonight, left with Shanley up 3-0 and 2 min left..
Shanley really looks like the real deal..

Any comments on them? Or the rest of the league? Anyone??

Yeah it looks like Shanley's pushing through as the favorite for state this year. As for the West, BHS has the same exact record this year. So it looks like a Shanley vs BHS state championship game, but anything can happen during state (or even before). For the EDC, I see South sneaking in there in front of GFRR and taking the last spot.
1)Shanley
2)WF
3)North
4)South

Upcoming schedules for RR & South are below:

RR: @ North; @ Shanley; @ GFC; vs. Davies
South: vs. Davies; vs. North; @ WF

Red River's schedule looks to be more favorable (especially with the fact that Red River is one conference game behind on the schedule right now).

Well day 1 is in the books at the 2011 State Tourney.

Shanley wins 2-0 over St Marys
North wins over Minot
West Fargo upsets Bismarck 2-1 on a PK second goal.
St Marys beats Red River in OT

West not doing as well as I expected (mainly Bismarck).
I thought it would be Shanley/Bismarck final.
Thats why they play the games...

Edit: Century over RR in OT (sorry Century fans...)

Semi Final action today:

West Fargo beats Shanley 3-2 (Shanley first loss of the year!)

Century Beats North 3-2 (come from behind again...)

West Fargo-Century Final tomorrow.

Any predictions on the final tomorrow? West Fargo is looking strong. coming in at third seed and taking out two top teams in the state? wow. Its going to be a good game to watch tomorrow as both teams are contending for first place. so, predicitions?
