Carrington's is really both nice and challenging and they havnt even got all the trees in and fully developed after a few years its going to be one of the nicest courses around. I guess I didnt do the greatest on it but ya its definatly challenging.

If it doesn't flood Edgewood is a great course, shame they can't protect it better. I also like Oxbow and the FCC is alright.

Oxbow and Bully Pulpit are both very nice courses and they show some difficulty but once you get out on the course you just start playing the game and it just goes through your mind and you don't even think about it

Cottonwood Golf Course in Casselton may not be the nicest course but it is a challenging 9 holes and beginning in the summer of 2009 a new clubhouse will be in use. there is a lot more space in the main dining area, a garage below the clubhouse to store carts, nice kitchen, and it is about ground level providing a nice view of the course

How is Bully pulpit not even on this list when it was rated in golf digest? and Minot Country Club is no where near the best, not even close.

Dickinson is a joke of a course. It is awful, never green, and it was a mistake that state was there. Devils Lake is probably worse than Dickinson. Until you go down south you can't compare to North Dakota courses in length, difficulty, or beauty.

I agree word for word with big bill

Hawktree hands down. Hawktree is by far the hardest course in the west. When its windy, you're in trouble. And no, Bully is nice but not as nice as Hawktree. Bully does have a lot of wind, but some fairways aren't that nice. Red Mike is also right up there.

I'm definitely biased on this one because I work at Hawktree, but I think Hawktree is the best then The Links of North Dakota then Bully Pulpit. I have never played FCC but I have heard it is great. I also like Jamestown CC, MInot CC and Hear River in Dickinson. I haven't played too many courses out east so I don't know much about them.

I have played every course mentioned so far..and the nicest would be FCC deep into the summer when all the flood damage is gone, the hardest for me wouldnt defitnely be riverwood in bismarck. It does not suit my game at all, i play the bomb and hack style of golf and i dont always hit the fairways, not good at riverwood. YOu guys gotta give GFCC some credit though, greens are always pristine.

I have to disagree on the FCC. It is a nice course and yes, the greens are immaculate. But there is nothing special about the layout. The layout is no better or worse than Edgewood in Fargo or Riverwood in Bismarck - all 3 of those have very large, mature trees that give the course a good look. But for interesting layout, you can't beat Hawktree or Bully Pulpit or even Kings Walk in Grand Forks. Oxbow is more interesting than FCC because of the numerous water hazards.

So, FCC is nice, but the nicest - no.

I think that rock creek in lakota is a very challenging course with all the rocks and creek

I would say Carrington has a nice course hosting the Class B state tournament.
