I'll agree Kristi McCloud (Milnor) will be a top senior for next year...as long as the knee recovers completely with no setbacks!

Keli Johnson from North in Class A will probably be the best hitter in the EDC.

Johnson will be one of the top seniors in state, but for my money the best hitter in the EDC will probably be Hadley Steffen of Red River.

The best hitter in the EDC is probably going to be Kira Larson from North, who will likely challenge Jacobs from Century as the best hitter in Class A. I have seen both play this spring, and for as well as Steffan looks (she looks very good), Larson has been dominating some competitive clubs in the cities. Both are going to continue to get better and it will be fun to watch them over the course of the next 2 years.

What club is Larson playing for? I've seen the North club a couple of times this spring but she hasn't been playing. What tournaments has she played in?

...they are coached by Kelly Lopez. The Presidents Day Festival this past weekend, she had 8 prolific D1 coaches watching probably a couple players playing along with Kira. It was a cool environment.

Linton-HMB has 2 really good hitters in Robin Weber and Kayln Schneider. They also have a very good setter Whitney Gerving, but Gerving had a knee injury this summer and is expected to miss some of volleyball season so we'll see how she comes back from that.

I would definetly keep an eye out for Michaela Halvorson of Milnor and Olivia Johnson from Richland. Both play extremely well and have the skills to be extremely great players this year. Both arent getting a whole lot of hype this year so far because Johnson plays for a sub-par team and Halvorson takes a back seat to McCloud because McCloud is back from and ACL injury. IMO Halvorson is the more dominant of the 2 and should start to attract some attention in the coming weeks.

both are decent ball players...but i would disagree as to putting them as top seniors. Neither one would shine on any of the top 4 teams in region 1 (central cass, kindred, northern cass, oak grove). They just don't have that refined of a skill set to play at that pace.

I agree with you. I watched Johnson this weekend at Northern Cass tourney. Nice player but not a top senior.

I realize that Central Cass and Kindred are on another level compared to other teams in the Region but Milnor has only played against 1 of those "top 4" teams...that being CC in the Central Cass Tourney this past Saturday. Halvorson has proven to be a dominant force down in District 1 and played fairly well against CC. I know we really cant make comparisons yet because Milnor hasnt played NC, Kindred, or OG but I think she should be at the very least considered to be an elite player.

I think "Michaela Halvorson" from the Milnor Bison is also a great canidate. During the "Volley in the Valley" Halvorson got 49 kills! PERFECTO! There are also many other great atheletes as well.
