I don't know about the best, but Macie Harris from Kenmare was the only Libero that made the State Class B or A All Tournament Team last fall and she is a JR.

Erika Jossart is definitely the quickest libero I've seen.

Hopefully, we can see both Harris & Jossart play in the State Tournament this fall and then we can compare their abilities at the libero position.

Libero's need much more than speed, speed doesn't help passing or serving.

It's an opinion.....wasn't as you stated..........wasn't bashing anyone

how does speed not help passing? don't you have to be able to get to the ball to pass it? and she did have one of the top serving percentages last year.

Bismarck should make it to state. Not to impressed with the West at all. Century is on a level of their own. Williston is ok, and Dickinson has 2 good outside hitters and that's it. After that, ouch. St Mary's, Jamestown, Mandon, and Minot struggled. Even with the Fargo JV team. Bismarck certainly did not look as strong as I thought they would.

Hey Bismarckballer: I see Kenmare and Century are on Track to possibly make it to state, so we can compare Century's Libero Ericka Jossart and Kenmare's Libero Macie Harris. I see they both make headlines in the their respected Newspapers and this doesn't happen for Libero's very often. Take care.

i agree. Jossart is a GREAT libero and has a lot of experience. but there are also some first time liberos that are doing a great job at the varsity leven

I have watched both Century's Libero Ericka Jossart and Kenmare's Libero Macie Harris this year and they both have there own styles. It's very hard to say who may be the best or should anyone do so, because they both play 150% and dictate how each other's team plays. I just hope who ever gives awards, finally can see how important the team libero can be and not always give all the VB awards to the Spikers as in the past years.

There is an article on Jossart in the Bismarck Tribune. Its impressive that she can play so well with very bad vision in one eye. I would have thought that it would have a big impact on her depth perception.

Great article for the Libero's of ND....Thanks for the article. Hopefully someday, libero's will not always just go into the basketball season with bruised hips, elbows and knees , as stated by Century's Jossart and Kenmare's Harris. Great Statement Jossart made "You usually don't see a lot of defensive players on all-state teams, you're pretty much all over the place covering hitters".

Annie has done a nice job for the burros this year. Nice to see her enjoying a sport that has not always ben her favorite. I expect bigger things from her next year as she gains experiance.

This will be the only comment i ever make concerning Individual awards, since I personally watched her play and once again on BEK Television replay, but i was wondering how Kenmare's Libero Macie Harris didn't make the Class B All Tourney Team or make possibly make All State?
She set three new State Records during the Tournament and was told that she may have set 2 other uncharted records as well concerning passes and service receptions? Two of the records are now best ever in the State (A & B). I only want to know who votes on these and what criteria they use.

she is amazing i totally agree with you. i watched her play in the championship. She could improve on reading to hitters more though, she always has to throw her body at everything when better liberos get there feet there and don't even have to move when the fall is hit.
i also agree with the people who are voting for these awards...didn't think it was a job well done

Alexa Bateman of Red River was the better Libero during the Class A Championship match.
