Favorites (I'm guessing on some of these)

R1
NC, I think they have to be the favorite, maybe they're the best team in the state?
CC
Kindred

R2
Thompson, I think you have to keep picking them up until someone beats them.
MPCG
Cavalier
Grafton

R3
Linton
Oakes
Carrington (they're always decent)
I'm not sure Linton is the favorite, but I assume they'll be in the mix.

R4
Langdon

Looks Langdon took it to Thompson pretty good last night.

I was surprised to see HN beat NS. Region 2 has 7-8 quality teams IMO.

Hegg only played at the end when she had to go in(out of players). Nursing a sore ankle is what I heard.

Out of players? Like they only had 6 healthy bodies?

I was told they had 10 players in uniform, counting the player with the bad wheel. Thompson runs a 6-2, so that accounts for 8 players. With one more front row/back row sub all healthy players had already been in the game. When the player got hurt, the rule states that anyone in uniform who hasn't been in the game has to go in before they could move one of the other players off the court to a new position (an exceptional sub).

She's healthy now...looked solid vs. Northern Cass on Tuesday.

Thompson hosts Central Cass tonight

So what happened to Langdon in the region championship? NR-S must obviously be good, but weren't even receiving votes. For the past 20-30 years, Langdon almost never under-achieves. Injuries?

New Rockford-Sheyenne is a good squad...they played a tougher schedule this year including getting into the DL-B tournament. Belquist is very good.

Region 4 was far more competitive this year with NR-S and North Prairie closing the gap on Langdon.

Langdon losing still has to be considered a major upset.

It is but it's a gap that has closed in that region.

Congrats to the Rockets on their first ever trip to State; it's always nice to see a new team come out of Region 4. Obviously to beat a Langdon Volleyball squad, you have to be a sound team...no one should overlook NR-S at State (they'll likely be a random draw team).

Linton survived a scare. They were down 5-1 in the 5th set.

Linton, Thompson, NC, Kenmare get seeds?
