2010 American Legion Section Tournaments

Sectional tournament pairings and schedules should be set by now. What are the specifics for each of the 7 Class B tournaments set to begin July 20th?

Section 1: Fairmont
Section 2: Edgeley
Section 3: Gardner
Section 4: Langdon
Section 5: Velva
Section 6: Lansford
Section 7: Hettinger

Section 7 starts on Wednesday in Hettinger. First game gets rolling at 2 pm Mountain time with Bowman taking on Hettinger.

Surrey vs Burlington 4:00
Velva vs New Rockford 6:30

What is the tournament set up, double elimination? When is section 3 championship game?

WWCS tied with Beulah 5-5 at top of 5th. Section 7 championship, Beulah must win twice to advance to state.

Just wondering if there are updates on todays games? Velva v. Rolette, Beulah v. Washburn. I know Wahp v. VC game just started at 3:30

VC 8 Wahpeton 3 GAME 1.....VC 6 Wahpeton 5 GAME 2. VC wins 5 in a row and wins section fighting through the losers bracket. Very good tourney, alot of evenly matched teams but VC came through with some walk off hits and clutch pitching. They now face a VERY tough Grafton team in state, Grafton beat VC twice this year but didn't face any of their top pitchers.
