FSHP lost to Kindred in the first game 5-3. Hashbarger and Ihry both didn't play.

I think its a little of both. Valley City is going to build on the success they had last summer and legion. While Central Cass is going to realize how much they miss Rust and Sinner on the mound.

I would say it was more a matter of working out some kinks during the first game. 4 or 5 unearned runs for VC on CC errors. I think that it is obviously early in the season to make big predictions. The only predictions I'll make is that this is always a tough region and no one ever has it sewn up. Every school loses good seniors every year and most years, after the first game or two, usually the new starters step up and in and the team starts to gel. Tournament time is a ways off and you never know what will happen there, and that is when it matters the most.

Midkota defeated Central Prairie 5-2 in Medina on Tueday April 6th

LaMoure beat Kidder County 4-0 and 3-0 in two 5 inning games yesterday. They actually threw two no hitters against them. Stemen (3 innings) and Hample (2 innings) went the first game. Dunn (3 innings) and Stemen (2 innings) in the second one.

Younger Stemen 1st game with Hample.
LLM pitchers looked decent for first outing. KC is pretty young/inexperienced after Randall and Miller.

As mentioned above, LLM's region is tough. CC, VC, FSHP, Enderlin/Maple Valley, LLM for sure all decent. Kindred with win over FSHP with a couple guys from FSHP missing. NC Im not sure about. This region will be up for grabs all the way to the end, probably.

CC beat FSHP yesterday 5 to 1 and 13 to 3.
