I think Velva or Surrey will be coming out of their region again. They both lose a lot but I don't see anyone beating them. It's a little too early to really be able to tell though.

I think CV-H will go out of region 2. They lost four seniors but they have one guy that was hurt last year thats back they have one guy that was suspended last year and hes back so they only have to people they have to fill in for spots and there might be some more people from hillsboro this year that have experience that could fill those roles. There deep in pitching with luchsinger, waslien, moen, lenz might do some, and if grothmann comes out hes got a cannon on him so they will be tough to beat. It will be between them and thompson i think.

Anyone know how MLS-G will do? they graduated Hefter, cormier, and lost Kopa.

I had heard they lost 6 starters from last year. May or may not be true but that's what i heard.

What will MLSG have for pitching?

It will be tough for the pitching to come around for them, Bender has seen some action on the hill but mainly stays behind the plate. I guess coach titus will have to figure that out when the season rolls around.... Right Coach?

Bender hasn't impressed me much from a pitching standpoint. He seemed to throw rather slow and he shortarms it. (which most likely came from catching)

Velva returns Ty Bruner, Garrett Wible, and Johnny Mack for pitching. Zach Podoll will most likely be their 4th pitcher. Unless I've forgotten anybody I believe that is what Velva has for pitching.

Surrey returns 2 of their top 3 pitchers from last year, Dallas Klassen and Brady Schwan. They also return Tory Mack who saw some time on the hill last year, and Justice Johnson will most likely get some innings this year too.

I will take a shot

Region 1-Should be a dog fight like always in this region but I will give it to Central Cass by a razor slim margin.

Region 2-Thompson but wouldn't be surprised if CV-H wins

Region 3-Dakota Prairie. Coached well and have as much if not more talent than anyone else.

Region 4-Grafton. No reason don't know alot about this one.

Region 5-Munich. Until someone knocks them off they are the cream of this region.

Region 6-Velva Props to Surrey and MLS but Velva is still the best in MHO

Region 7-Bishop Ryan I wanted to pick Watford but just couldn't

Region 8- Shiloh but Washburn or Central Prairie could surprise

I will argee that Thompson is one of the favorites but I think that MPCG is the other favorite in the region. CV-H loses more than MPCG and MPCG beat CV-H soundly every time they played. Thompson returns a lot and Andy Naas will help fill the void that Ricky Morgan left in their infield.

I hope the wanting to pick Watford is something personal you have against Ryan, because Ryan has to be HEAVILY favored to win the region, and a top pick for the state title only losing one player from last years title team.

I have nothing against Ryan, I respect what they have done. I honestly think that Watford has a chance to beat them, I just couldn't justify picking them.

Ya bender spends most his time catching, and the occasional third base. It will be tough pitching this year but hopefully it'll come around.

I believe Valley City is now in this region this spring. It should make this region that much more impressive. CC, Lamoure, EMV and Valley City were all in the state Legion tourney last summer. CC, Lamoure, EMV were the last three remaining at the state Legion tourney. Very good competition in Region 1.

How sure are you on that just wondering? I figure they would either be in Region 1 or maybe Region 3 idk.

Yes, i'm almost positive that VC will be in Region 1 this year. I do not know what they bring back from their Legion season, I believe that they had a couple of college players help them out alot. I believe Zitzow and Zinke were two main players that are no longer in high school. I would have to guess they would at least be top half of the region. Anyone have any other insight on VC baseball?

1. Central Cass
2. Lamoure
3. Enderlin-Maple Valley
4. Valley City
5. FSHP
6. Kindred
7. Northern Cass
I know FCT is listed as in this region as well but they have not had a team the past couple years.

Last year I saw one of their JV pitchers and he looked pretty good. I belieive he threw a no hitter in the game I watched. I think he was number 7.

Out of Region 7 its going to be between Ryan and watford. I know that Ryan has the hole team returning and all but I am thinking watford is going to give them a run for their money, even though they lost some senoirs. But they have quite a bit of talent returning. they got a lot of talent in that Junior Class. this should be a good match up.
