The 1 and 2 seeds play in section 8 tonight, Mandan vs. Beulah. I'll give an update when it's over.
Any other big games?

The 2009 North Dakota American Legion Baseball Tournament is set for Thursday through Saturday July 23-25 at Charlie Brown Memorial Baseball Field in Valley City.
Thursday's games will start at 11 a.m. with #1 Nelson County versus #4 Harvey. At 1 p.m. it's #2 Valley City against #3 New Rockford. The two losers of the first two games will play at 3 p.m., and 5 p.m. the two winners from the first two games will suit up.
There are only 4 teams in this section?
Yeah, Maddock and Carrington didn't field teams this year. I also think both Lakota and DP used to be in this section before they combined.
Actually, Lakota used to be in Grafton and Langdon's section. Section 7 used to have Steele, Jamestown 16 year olds, Griggs County, Carrington, and Maddock all in it 2 years ago. Along with New Rockford and Harvey.
You're right, I forgot about Steele and Jamestown. Didn't know Griggs Co used to be in it, tho. Wow, in two years that section has lost 5 teams. I also saw that Rugby didn't field a team this year in their section. I just can't believe towns like Carrington, Rugby, and Cooperstown can't find 10 players to have a baseball team.

Dunn County 0, Mandan 15 4 1/2 innings
Dickinson 6, Mandan 16 4 1/2 innings
Beulah 0, Mandan 10 5 innings

Munich and Grafton are the only teams left in Section 4. Munich defeated Grafton Friday. Grafton must win twice on Saturday over Munich to advance.

In section 2, LamOure advanced to the championship on Sunday by beating Oakes 10 to 1. Watkins threw a one hitter and Gentzkow went 3 for 3 for the second night in a row. Saturday will see Edgeley playing Lisbon. The winner advances to play Oakes where the winner moves on to Sunday to take on #1 seed LaMoure.

Section 3 championship on sunday will be a matchup of Casselton versus whoever wins today. MayPort plays Fargo today and the winner of that game plays Hatton for the right to play Casselton for the championship.

section 2. LaMoure vs. Edgeley at 3:00 on Sunday. Edgeley has to win twice. Heinrich threw a nohitter against Oakes for Edgeley to advance.

very good games though.
Game 1
Fargo Bombers 11 Casselton 8
Game 2
Casselton 6 Fargo Bombers 1
Casselton had 1 solid inning in both games where they stacked up runs and Fargo just couldnt rally back in the second game.
Bombers had runners left on base every inning in game 2.
