i think that thompson will be really wanting to win the legion titile because of not winning the state high school championship, grafton will be tough i think, velva will be good as always, there will be a lot of good teams out there this year

Thompson will have virtually the same Legion Team as thier 2005 high school championship team, the only player that wont be coming back is Andy Klamm who played right field and is easily replacable.

Who does Velva have returning for them this year? Is Steeles Legion team any good? if they even have one idk ive never heard of them at the legion level.

Langdon could be pretty good too 2nd place at state this year. Since Cavalier had to drop their Legion program a couple years ago thats where they go to play legion ball if they want too. Don't know if anybody does or not or even will this summer.

I don't know if the section lists are for 2005 or 2006, but Steele is there. I'd think Harvey, Steele or Washburn would win theirs, not knowing much about them.

i would think harvey would be challenged by cooperstown...isn't that essentially the midkota team?

Beats me! :) Washburn won't be so hot if they have a lot of Wiltons on their HS team. Oo, Jamestown was/is in their section. They should be tough.

i believe that is the jamestown blues...which is like the junior varsity team for the legion. so essentially you have 14 and 15 year olds going up against 17 and 18 year olds.

the varsity (post 14 i think is what they go by, but not positive on the number) is in the class a eastern division

harvey's region is cooperstown, carrington, jamestown, new rockford, harvey, and steele

i think dakota prairie was the surprise team of the region 3 tournament. i know i thought they would bow out early because i thought they had lost too much talent from last year's team.

but to their credit, they made it difficult for everyone they played.

yeah, they had a heck of a tournament, they have a outstanding coach, they improved drastically from the beggining to the end of the year

Velva has Travis Bruner coming back from last years championship team. Should be a good addition to the pitching rotation.

all of langdon's players play except Jordan Lyons, the right fielder, and they pick up Joe Contreras from Cavalier, Senior Player of the Year last year in region 4, and tanner carpenter, all region pick this year from North Border.

Jamestown has 14 and 15 year olds teams so it would mostly be 16 year olds and the better 15's.  Possibly some 17 year olds too.

Steele's legion team is never as good as high school.  Most of the time they struggle just to fill the roster because all the kids are working.

Lamoure's legion team should have a sucessful year, everyone from the state high school team plays mostly, and they will add a couple players.  Look out for them.

Cooperstown is going to be stacked. They have the good players from last years state Dakota Praire team including this years state Midkota players.

Jamestown is the blues, which is all 10th graders usually or 15 year olds. No older.
