Casselton (who is representing section 3) is a very fundamentally sound team. They have three or four very good pitchers, play very good defense and is a solid team team at bat 1-9 in the order. They also have a very good coach in Scott Radloff. A major concern for them is their pitching depth if they were to make it until day four or five. They also need to get more production out of their four and five batters. James Knoll and Scott Schumacher did not have a very good section tournament hitting wise, I expect them to have a better state tournament. And as far as Lamoure's field goes, it is very nice. It has a wonderful playing surface. Their is a slight lip on the edge of infield, other than that the concessions are great and they already know how to run a great tournament so no worries there.

I think www.dakotanews.com will be streaming the games. Not positive. Maybe KQLX 106.1FM from Lisbon. They are working on it as well. Their website is www.kqlx.com.

I was just down to the field. It looks great. A lot of people from LaMoure have worked really hard to make the ballpark look its best.

End of last summer, they tore the whole field up and laid new sprinkler system in, and then put new sod down. In the last couple weeks they put new benches in the dugouts, laid turf in the coaching boxes and the walkways to the plate, and just overall spiffied it up.

Well sounds like the field looks good, so now what's there to do in LaMoure? Anything?

Toy Farmer museum SE of LaMoure. Water sports and fishing on Lake LaMoure and Twin Lake. Golfing in Granny, Edgeley, Ellendale, Oakes, and Lisbon. Aberdeen, Jamestown, and Valley City are all about an hour away. All of the towns in the area have pools and several have water slides.
