Bakkum Throws No-Hitter Against Shiloh

Postby baller01 » Mon Apr 16, 2007 5:00 pm

Tonight Shiloh played Steele-Dawson in Steele. Mark Bakkum threw a no-hitter as the pirates won 4-0. Pretty impressive considering it was SD's opening game.

wentz isn't going to pitch till about sometime in may.  he's a great pitcher. loomis is great, nasty pitches.  kyle schroeder isn't bad, i mean he's a lefty so that's why he is good.  umm.. brian borr is good just because he is so good at getting ahead and keeping you off balance.  gathman is good for minot and ryne bollinger is probably the best sophomore pitcher in the state. he one hit my team last year, haha.  and elgie throws hard.

I think Purintun is just excited to play Steele in legion ball. Maybe he can get a hit off of Mr. Bakkum. Or maybe Mr. Bakkum will lay an egg? Boy that would be embarrassing. Terrible representation of last years state championship pitcher. I dunno about you guys but I'd be embarrassed.

sure he didnt do it against a top team, but the fact is he didnt give up a hit.  how many no hitters, little league-HS/legoin did you throw fruit snack?  and from exerience playing with and watching him pitch it usually takes 2 games or so for him to get his control right off the mound.....so when i look at the box score and see no hits, 11 ks, and only 3 walks in his first time on the mound, i am impressed

the only team that i can see as a threat would be Washburn, just because they are Washburn...but after graduating all they did and losing a coach i would say Steele is in a pretty weak region where if steele puts up 4-5 runs i dont see them losing

I never said it was a huge deal that he threw a no-hitter. I just think that it was something worth mentioning. The name of the forum gives away what the forum is about so obviously if you thought it was no big deal you wouldn't have clicked the forum. A no-hitter is a no-hitter no matter who it is against.
