Velva will have a hard time keeping up that #4 spot with not alot of pitching, It will help them that High School has went to wood bats because they are a good hitting team and a good defensive team also.

WHERE IS CAVALIER???? haha JK.... Anyway poll looks good I'll be polling for Langdon and Grafton to represent the region well this year if the Cavalier boys can't get it done. Poll will change big time by the end of the year in my opinion.

I think people will be surprized with our pitching this year.  I feel we will have some kids step up for us.

steele is overrated though, how can you say they are the top team in the state after all they lose?

because they won state last year, their players COULD develop into better players, plus, they have bakkum, probably the best player in the state

but they lose more then everyone thinks.  3 of the top 4 pitchers, argueably the best catcher in the state, best centerfielder in the region(one of the best in the state), great 3rd baseman and SS when bakkum pitches.  as much as i wish it were true high school baseball is not like the Bad news bears where one great player makes every play and hits a homerun every at bat.  i'd put them somewhere between 6-8

dont you think the talent has gone down though, theres not as many good pitchers as there was last year, throughout the whole state...
