I see they did this for football and basketball. If you could put a team together with all the players that played at your high school who would be your starters? Im interested to see who comes up with the teams from Thompson, Cavalier, Minot Ryan, Enderlin, Hope-Page...these schools always seem to be in a state tourney.

Galchutt co-ops with Kindred in HS but if they were to have a team it IMO would be something like this.

1B- Randy Monson
2B-Logan Robertsdahl
SS-Jeff Ditch
3B-Mark Berseth
C- Keith Kinneberg
LF-Jim Haire
CF-Jon Griffith
RF-Kirk Flaa
Pitchers- Tony Kinneberg, Doug Johnson, Todd Johnson, Don Nash, Ken Knudsen
with Larry Syvertson as a closer.
bench-- Scott Johnson, Sheldon Hage, Dustin Erbes, Grant Loff, Bill Gauslow

todd mcfadden is nothing special...he played w/ us for a summer and he's a head case...doesn't hit well at all ....tim oksendahl could be replaced also...he's the type of hitter that can be overpowered and has no arm strenght

If I ranked that list they would probably be at the bottom but I just can't remember some of the older guys right now that would go ahead of them.

i wouldn't put oksendahl anywhere on cavaliers all team list.  he made all region his senior year and batted .290, and thats being generous.  im not familiar with much thats happened before the last 4 or 5 years, but i would put matt and mitch ford on that list before oksendahl. maybe even alex cull in a year or two.

I'd just like to hear why Matt Mitch or Alex would go ahead of tim on the list? I respect anybody's opinion on it, just would like to hear some reasons.

Steve Dann was before my time but all add him to the list, no I meant Joey but I guess Matt could also be put on the list, really wasn't liked by teammates.

Ahh yes I can't believe I forgot the Lage brothers especially Brandon. Schwab if ya had to to pick 9 to field a team from the list who would ya take?

Speaking for Schwabby... since I was with him when he posted, and I'm sitting beside him right now...

Pitcher- Chad Amidon
Catcher- Sam Lucier
1st Base- Brandon Lage seems like a good fit here
2nd Base- Wayne Martin since I've got brady pitching, but if brady gets tired he's coming in for relief
Short Stop- Brady Trenbeath
3rd Base- Blake Trenbeath
Right Field- Ryan Olson (It's nice to have another Catcher on the team to give Sam's knees a break, and he's got a big stick and can flat out FLY on the basepaths or in the outfield)
Center Field- Kyle Lage (I want to say he batted near .800 his senior year)
Left Field- Luke Ermer (has made some of the greatest catches I've ever seen in High school baseball)

It is really tough to make this team because so many of these people played the exact same positions. I'd love to see some of the other schools around the state try to put together a bullpen that could compete with the pitchers cavalier has had.

Really can't argue with you on that team, only thing I probably would switch is Martin the 3rd and Blake T to 2nd. Martin played some third base when he wasn't pitching. Then put guys like Lindenberger and Contreas in the bull pen and your pretty good to go.

I meant to say if Richland had it's own high school team this is who IMO would be on it. They all played for Galchutt legion (at one time or another) which Richland school is the base for. Richland and Kindred coop in hs ball only. sorry for the confusion.

Ok first off, Matt ford and mitch ford don't even come close to that list. Matt Ford played 2 years and maybe had a .300 batting average. Mitch Ford had a good freshmen year but when he needed to step up as a sophomore he choked. If I am not mistaking tim Oksendahl had excellent numbers all through his career. He batted .315 as a freshmen, .375 as a sophomore, .425 as a junior, and .295 as a senior. He had a poor senior year mainly because of his rotator cuff surgery to his throwing arm only 4 months prior to baseball and was not fully healed. I can't believe you question this kids arm strength, thats a joke. He has one of the strongest arms around.
