Any input on who is in this year's tourney, predictions and some players to watch. Stats and records from each team.

Qualified Teams (so far)
R1: Central Cass
R2: Thompson
R3: LaMoure-LM
R4: Langdon/Edmore/Munich
R5: North Star
R6: Bishop Ryan
R7: Renville County
R8: Beulah
Not sure how seedings will work but safe to assume Thompson, CC, Beulah & LEM will likely receive 4 of the 5 (IMO)

Seeding went pretty much how I predicted. Don't know much about the west teams but the east teams are always solid programs. Should be a good state tournament.

I thought Beulah was good enough to get at least the 5-seed...maybe R8 is just really down this year.

I thought Beulah was good enough to get at least the 5-seed...maybe R8 is just really down this year.
Beulah has 11 losses, no way they were getting seeded. Actually surprised Renville didn't get 5 seed over Bishop Ryan, they've beat them twice this year.

Ah so Region 8 was poorer quality this year...makes sense on why I was wrong; seeds seem good then.

Region 8 was pretty competitive but talent compared to the rest of the state is down, Shiloh played really consistent but I didn't think they had a deep staff, Beulah has more pitchers but they don't have any real Ace's none of their players touch 80, but all have stuff. Hazen was really gritty classic hazen, and Heart River has been coming along.

Believe they started season with 14 scheduled games. Some early cancellations due to weather and other reasons. Short season didn't allow all games to get rescheduled.
So who are some players to watch? Were there any tournaments with cross regional play to gauge region strength? Sounds like opening day is going to be a scorcher.

Nice win by Renville County in game 1. LaMoure getting done so far in game 2. I always wonder how the pitching plays out in the tournament. A lot of the smaller schools struggle to find enough pitchers. BEK is doing a good job with the broadcasting too.

Very good tournament so far. I think Langdon will be too much for LaMoure to handle in tonight's Championship game. Again, good coverage of the tournament by BEK!
