Regional Tournament Brackets

I wish that all regions would look at doing something like Region 1 does for their tournament. The pitching regulations make it very difficult for teams to come back from an early loss in a double-elimination tournament anyways. If you have a region that has 6 teams and does a true double-elimination tournament a team that wins a 3/6 or 4/5 match-up and gets beat by the 1 or 2 seed is actually in a worse position than if they have just lost the first game.

Yea if you win the 3/6 and lost to the 1/2 you have a total of 7 games to play to make state.... what does Region 1 do? At some point they should just make in single elim just like the state tournament in my opinion. Win 6 game to win it all.

Region 1 is single Elimination until 2 teams remain then they play best 2 of 3 hosted by higher seed.

Are pitching restrictions NFHS rules or are they just NDHSAA rules?
