I don't get why region 8 wouldn't be at Shiloh. I know in the past they've given the highest seed the host right. Regardless, if you have the nicest field in class B and the best town in the region, you should host every year.

I'd argue they are a top 5 field but not necessarily the best, Beulah has a great field. I think Enderlin is in the discussion for one of the top fields as well.

Host site is also determined before the season.

So if your a small school with an ok field you should never host a region? Why dose this seem a bit unfair and bias.

I don't think it's about fairness. The region tournament should be about being in the best possible venue to me.

So only the school with the best field gets the tourney and all the money that goes with it. and the other schools that do not have the money to fix up their field do not get a chance to come up with the funds to help their school. Only the rich or big schools should get the money right.

So is Region 6 supposed to give their tournaments to fields like Sawyer, Max, and Turtle Lake? Only half the home fields in this region have grass infields. It's not fair to play big games on un-maintained fields.

Unmaintained is something else, But according to this only Ryan would get to host because they would more then likely they have the best field. I noticed you did not say Surrey or Velva, but they would never get to host a region is thats right?? Turtle Lake does not have a proper baseball field. Max does not have a proper field also. In those cases they should not get to host. Ryan played a lot of games at Sawyer.

Region 3: Carrington wins three Friday with wins over New Rockford, and Midkota (twice) to secure the trip to State.

#4 MPCG sweeps Region 2 and advances to state with a win over Thompson. Holy cow does MPCG look good right now.

Who gets the four seeds?

I'll say: Kindred (1), Grafton (2) Harvey (3), Carrington(4)

I am going to poke the bear here but grafton will get in on reputation and record(playing in a bad region) Lewis and Clark has lee but outside of that not much.

West will get no respect but I am pretty sure Beulah went to Carrington and had to tie due to light and then went to Enderlin and beat Enderlin and Thompson in the same weekend. Haven't seen Kindred play but have heard ok things but they shouldn't be consensus #1 with the losses they have.

Has anyone seen the all region teams for various regions anywhere. Only one I have seen so far was region 2 in the Grand Forks Herald. I sure wish they would published them like the basketball all regions and football these kids need to get their recognition too for their effort in baseball.

This isn't hypothetical because Ryan already does host every year. At least, I assume they do since it's always in Minot. I don't care who's the one hosting. I would be fine with some sort of revenue sharing for it. My point is that a region tournament should be about giving the kids the best possible tournament. In baseball, the biggest part of that is the field.
