In my opinion Cooley's best sport is wrestling. He made it to a Class A State Championship, very impressive. He is a very good football player too and would probably be a good trackster.

he won the 160lb "A" championship for Red River and another Thompson wrestler took second in state "A" for Red River. Time for Thompson to start a wrestling program. Goodness, they've got enough boys for it - they've got about 30 boys out for basketball in 9-12.

Hatton has some pretty good players. Strand and Huus are very good hitters and Strand has pitched pretty good in the past. That Pladson kid has hit some homeruns too. I'm not sure if Thompson has a whole lot coming back from last year...

I agree that Ryan probably is the favorite. When it gets to tourney time and the nature of the high school tournament being a one and done for the title, matchups on the hill and who is hot at the right time tends to out weigh over all tallent. You can see alot more upsets in a one game shot then you do in the legion tournament where it is double elim. Region parings to start state can be huge as well if one team has a dominant number one starter and then the staff falls off behind that its easy to get a first round upset of the favorite that throws the whole tournament for a loop. (See Thompsons results in 2006)
