jagim is a stud. sand and frappier are only good if their stuff is on. theyre not going to blow their fastballs by anybody. havent seen fritz pitch enough to make a good judgement. as for post 2, nygaard was the only shanley player and he was unsuccessful.

With wood bats, if jagim can develop a consistent second pitch, dont be surprised if he puts up ebert/tweiten/landry like numbers.  Sand will consistently give up 2-4 runs a start, with the occassional shutout if he is on.  Frappier will continue to be a reliever, providing a completely different look from Jagim.  Kays will also be in the pen, and Fritz will hold down the #3 spot in the Rotation.  Throwing strikes will be the key to success for any team this year, and shanley has that going for them.
I never blame myself when I'm not hitting. I just blame the bat and if it keeps up, I change bats. After all, if I know it isn't my fault that I'm not hitting, how can I get mad at myself?

what teams from the west, besides minot, should be contenders for state? who all will be good from the west? i know the loss of liffrig, leer and several other guys definitely hurts willistons chances. what about the other teams?

Nick Tweiten 2006: 5-1.  0.6 ERA all with a crappy team! ERA was second only to Ebert in the State! not too shabby.

Fargo Shanley 2006: 6-11 edc, 12-21 overall. so when tweiten didnt pitch, shanley struggled. the record goes to show that shanley wasnt very good on the mound outside of tweiten.

in case anybody is wondering, i got that record from the west fargo baseball website.

Did Tweiten play legion ball last summer?  If so how did he do?

Tweiten was held back a grade, so he was too old to play legion ball as a senior.

He also played last year with a bad shoulder and didnt do a lot of pitching.  Twieten is def a great pitcher and deserves to be mentioned with Ebert and Landry.

Also one thing on Ebert is rumor has it hes now throwing 94 and has put 20 pounds of muscle on. Things looking good for him.

South should be good. Sholl best of in the state, they have good pitching and they got a good sr class.

Didn't realize Tweiten's stats were that good.

I wouldnt say he is the best.  I think better wording would be he is among the best.  Kory Houston from Minot and Cody Erhardt from St. Mary's have to be mentioned as well.

i would say he is the best because of his skill in every aspect of the game. he hits for average and power. he runs down every ball and he has an absolute cannon for an arm.

Yeah, Erhardt and Houston can do that too.

As far as the Ebert rumors go i have heard alot of the same.  Supposedly he has been given the #1 spot in the Iowa Western rotation.

They are both lead off hitters, they aren't necessarily expected to put up those numbers. They more than likely have more runes scored than anything.
