ok, if this kid is 6'1", 180 lbs, hits homeruns...shouldnt he be playing somewhere else in the field other than second base?

He was using wood in KC? Really? I thought that ND was the first High School Association to go to wood?

This isn't for screwing around... if he does exist then congrats Shanley, but if he doesn't please dont waste your time posting false information.

You're all right, none of this adds up.  First why would a stud baseball player move to ND from Missouri in the first place, but if he had to because of family, why would he choose Shanley over either North or South if he was that serious about baseball? Definitely a hoax.  Take it somewhere else ghetto*revival.

ya im aware....i played on fargo legion, where we had around 5 guys who threw 80-86 and we didnt do sweet....im just trying to point out that these guys have been talking up shanley and this jagim kid cuz he can throw 80. If this kid is going to be among the elite of the east pitching then the east is gonna be pretty sorry.

I was going to stay away from GhettoRevivals Post until everyone felt it fit to start rippin into shanley. By no means did i ever say we were going to take state or even EDC. All i ever said was that we didn't deserve all the dead last rankings people were predicting. some of you probably can guess who i am, and hopefully you don't believe i am delusional enough to say SHS will run the table with 2 pitchers.

Jagim can throw 80... and High Heat, you as much as anyone should know that Jagim wasn't even of bomber age, and that they pulled him up when he was only 14 in legion years, not real age. Ibach would never have pulled up anyone that young.

Everyone, PLEASE do these two things: stop hatin' on Shanley, and stop believing Ghetto

PS: Compared to years past the EDC will be pretty sorry this year.
I never blame myself when I'm not hitting. I just blame the bat and if it keeps up, I change bats. After all, if I know it isn't my fault that I'm not hitting, how can I get mad at myself?

Jags is not that good of a pitcher he can throw hard but thats only going to help the hitters when it comes to wood bats....he would be better off throwing 60's and having people fly out all the time instead of throwing 80's if he can get up there which i dont think he can and them actually hittng it hard some place. 75 80's is perfect speed for most legion players thats what they see all the time they get use to it.....the kid needs more than a fast ball to be good...to be a good pitcher your going to need a decent fastball something that breaks and a slower pitch fast ball curve ball just isnt going to cut it anymore.

Yeah i wouldnt't but im saying that if the guys from shannley cant hit even with metal bats then do you expect them to come out strong with wood very doughtful.

its not shanley's hitting im talking about its how they will be able to stick with teams because of the other teams lack of hitting from the woods. ( shanley's fielding should be improved from last year, which will also help)

speaking of fielding, that will be a huge part of high school baseball this year. Every error will be magnified and you will have to play D to get to state.

speaking of jagim again, I played Aces this year and thats all he has is a straight fastball at 80, I saw no curve or offspeed from him.  Personally I think sand is shanley's best pitcher he has a decent curve and a nice change-up.  Jagim could use only his fastball in 14-15 year old Babe Ruth but varsity hitters will light him up.

2007 East Picks

1. South   most talent through the order

2. Red River  Will challenge South, pitching not strong, but lots of arms

3. West Fargo  Pitching similar to Red River, lots of arms, but position players not as strong as RR

4. Central  Young players were clutch at State last year, that should have given them some confidence.   Pitching- strong ace, everyone else will need to step up.

5. North  Decent team but pitching has lost their identity.  Could finish as high as third if pitching comes around.

6. Shanley  If only they were as good as their posts.  Youngsters need to prove themselves.

7. Devils Lake  The team has 3 or 4 good players, but you need at least 7 or 8 to compete for the upper half of the league.

8.  Wahpeton  Played good at the end of last year, if it carries over, could finish as high as 6th.

by Central's ace are you talking about Kreis? they will be alright but I see them towrads the bottom of the conference due to the fact they have no good juniors coming up from jv and i dont know if they can compete throughout the season. After all they were and eight-seed last year with landry.

Yes, Kreis.  All other starters graduated or moved.

Central should finish somewhere in the middle.   Yes they were 8th in the east last year, but they were first in the state.  I don't think 4th or 5th place is a stretch at all.
