They are both lead off hitters, they aren't necessarily expected to put up those numbers. They more than likely have more runes scored than anything.

Houston BA: .387  OBP: .496  HR: 5 2B: 11 3B: 2 BB: 22  Stolen base Attempts: 16

Stolen Bases: 16  Stolen Base % 1.000

Best OF in the state  Erhardt is a close second

So where do you put sholl 3rd??

Putting Belcourt over any other team is a travesty.  Seriously, our 12 year old cal ripken all star team could beat them.  Plus Jamestown is in the wda now because Beulah went down to Class B.

Beulah was kind of already co-opping with them because that Hermes kid was from Hazen.  I dont know why that would make them Class A again.  But they are going down to Class B for sure.

1) Minot-Seem to be a powerhouse every year and you gotta like Elgie, Houston, Hornecker, plus they have the pitching

2)Century-If Wentz is healthy they have a nice 1,2 with Allen out there. Good hitters as well

3) Dickinson-Who knows what you're gonna get with these guys. They have million dollar talent and 10 cent brains, hence their collapse last season

4) St. Mary's-You've gotta like the experience, but they lost Bohan, only have one real proven starter in Loomis. Need more offensive procuction from top 2 in lineup and bottom 3.

5) Bismarck-They do have some good young talent. Not really sure who's gonna eat those innings for them.

6) Mandan-I really like that Pletan kid, but he's about all they have back.

7) Jamestown-Who knows?

8) Williston-Lost way to much to be what they were. Only returner I can think of is Kvernum.

9) Belcourt or Beulah or whoever is left-Beulah has St. Mary's number in the friendly confines of Beulah's yard.

I'll go with this for now:

1. Minot- tons of great players back, only missing Lundy and Nelson from last year.  Probably have deepest pitching staff in state. Should be dangerous with Bollinger and Gathman as 1-2 pitchers.

2. Century- have hitting throughout whole lineup and all their pitching back.  How this team does will depend heavily on how healthy Wentz is.

3. St. Mary's- probably have most experience back of anyone.  Top 2 starters for pitching are back but need to find more pitching after that.  Top of gthe lineup should produce but need to find some consistency in the bottom.

4. Dickinson- have hitters throughout the lineup, who knows how this team will be. Could either be a serious threat or a flop like last year.

5. Bismarck- lost some key players, should have some pretty good hitters, but need to find more pitching.

6. Mandan- should have a very good defensive infield and the top of the order will be good.  But need to find more depth and more pitching.

7. Jamestown- not really sure

8. Beulah- they'll be mediocre, pitching will be okay, but they always seem to surprise someone at the end of the season.

9. Williston- lost a ton of players, question marks all over

10. Belcourt- nothing left to say

i am from the east so i am not going to change up your west choices but south has the talent to absolutely dominate the east, possible win out in the conference.  but besides that everybody is pretty even between red river being number two and shanley being number seven.  I think north is higher and shanley is higher and that west fargo should be lower but it will be a true toss up depending on weather and who can pitch in what games for the 2-7 spots in the EDC

I dont know a thing about the kid from KC coming to play for Shanley, but in the past I have seen other kids come to this area from bigger places with a lot of hype, and they have turned out to be average at best.  Not saying that is the case with this kid, but lets see how he stacks up first.  Dont under-estimate the quality of players in this area.
