EDC teams all had a nice showing today winning 3 of the games and scoring 21 runs vs 2 runs for West teams. Davies battled a hard game also vs Saints. I am predicting an all East ship with South vs WF.

Has a team ever (in the history of ND baseball) made it thru the entire state tournament and shut out every opponent? This was a very impressive showing.

I think South only gave up 1 run in the EDC tourney.

the 2011 South Bruins have to be one of the best ND teams ever with a record of 35 and 2. Can anyone remember a team that has dominated like they have this season. Is this the best team ever out of North Dakota?
The Bruins record over the last 4 seasons is something like 108 wins vs 15 losses.

North Dakota baseball was down so much this year, there is no way this is the best team ever. They are not even the best team in the past few years.

I agree, the 2009 Dickinson team was a better team IMO.

they would have been an above average team if they played in the 04-07 years.

just because the west was down doesn't mean the state was down. the overall talent level was still there the only thing that lacked was each team having at least one dominant player with basically only south, west fargo, century, bhs, and saint marys having a dominant player

......unless he is "THE DAVID ERNST"......others not mentioned in the previous statement horner, soberg, moe, lawley, hochstatter, quinlan, haugen, krabbenhoft, and others (all studs that could start on any team in the state)

mr. sparta shut up. This is years south team was a great team with good depth at pitching and great hitting. Yes, David Ernst was on the team but if a team is determined by there best player then id take the 09 dicknson team with frenzel or one of the minot teams with elgie. Please stop being a idiot and making south people look bad.

That state talent level is gonna be more down next year then this year

The East is going to dominate next year with Davies, West Fargo, and Wahpeton leading the way. Casey Quinlan will not lose a game and with Davies returning their whole team (including Justin Beach who didn't play at all last year with an arm injury) I'm willing to bet they win the state title in 2012
