State Records

Postby slugger_12 » Sun Aug 13, 2006 8:16 pm

Lundy and Liffrig both had phenomenal summers and I would like to see where they ended up with the state records.

Liffrig-  .496 AVG. 27 HR'S 101 RBI's those are just the ones that I am aware of

Lundy-  .551 AVG.? 25 HR's  RBI's??

anybody else with numbers?? and records??

Brian DeVillers is one heck of a player.  I watched him play amateur ball too and he still crushes the ball.

Any home run numbers on Darrin or Bryan Erstad playing in left hand home run friendly Jack Brown Stadium?

I know Tony Kressen hit 20 some hume runs for Wahpeton when they won state in 1996 also featuring Mike and Jeremy Peschel, and Jared Keaveny.

Mandan hit tons of Home Runs in '98. That year Tracy Geffre and Joe Schnider combined for 49 bombs. Geffre had 25 and Schnider had 24. I believe that this could have been the record before Liffrig/Lundy this season.

Eric Burns of Sawyer-Surrey might hold the class B record as he was rumored to have hit nearly 30, if not more then 30 in 2000. I cant remember what the final total was but it was more then 25.

sawyer and surrey have very shallow fences, making that possible record not very legit

I don't think it mattered how shallow the fence was when that kid played. He'd hit it way over the fence anyways. If anyone has been to sawyer's field, I watched him hit one halfways up that hill in left center field. Had to be atleast a 400ft shot.

Does anyone know how many Burns hit his last season in 2000?
