Anyone know of teams outside of ND who are good and possible favorites to win their state tournaments and advance to the Central Plains tournament and possibly the World Series?

Rapid City will probaly win their tournament and have a good chance of advancing to the World Series.

Rapid City Post 22, Omaha Skutt, Johnson Co., Iowa, Apple Valley, MN, Excelsior, MN, Lawrence, Ka, and Plover, Wis is ranked 1 in Wisconsin.

Minot beat Rapid City and barely lost to Omaha earlier this year.

I think Omaha will win Central Plains.

I think when push comes to shove Rapid City will beat Omaha. Omaha beat them at the Rapid tourney, but Rapid didn't throw one of their top pitchers and I believe that Omaha did. Rapid had the error bug against both Omaha and Minot, although both of those teams hit the crap out of the ball against Rapid's pitching.

How will the winner of ND state look against these teams?

Will they have a decent chance at making the world series?

I think Minot will win state.  Minot has played a few of these teams. They can play right with them.  They will have as good a chance as anyone making the series just as long as they are consistent.

Lawrence, KS info-

Does North Dakota need to adjust when they host the State Tournament because with a team like Kansas already being done a week ago they are definately at an advantage having a rested pitching staff. Fargo was definately hurt by that last year at the Regional.

Oshkosh is the Wis champ.

I just saw on TV that Minot will play the Kansas champ Thursday morning in Aberdeen.

From what they were saying on the radio today, Minot will only lose three players for next years team.

Actually I think all but catcher Fred Nelson are eligible to come back.
Whether Lundy or Huettl are going to come back may be in question. With Lundy playing at Iowa Western, they may have some other summer plans for him. Huettl's playing at MSU, so I don't know if that would help or hurt his chances of returning.
But the rest of the main guys should be back next season.

all minot is losing is Cathcher Fred Nelson which will probaly move Dane Towry to catcher, who is a good catcher also.

Minot lost 2-1 to Lawrence, Kansas this afternoon.  Both runs came in the 7th, and were unearned.  Minot only got 4 hits for the game.

Not sure who they play next.

Jordan Martinson started.  I am guessing that Tyler Lundy will pitch tomorrow, but don't know for sure.
