West 16
East 4

No surprise in the score but the game was over-shadowed by a horrible head to head collision between Fargo's Andy Schutz and Grand Forks' Alex Moe in left-center field in the 7th inning. Both suffered severe concusions. Moe fractured skull and will require surgery.

I guess Fargo's deep pitching is truly showing in this tournament. Any word on how they did today?

Good job in Omaha Fargo!

Grand Forks went 2-3 in Omaha, beat Anchorage 19-1 in 2 innings Saturday. (Anchorage quit after 2)

I honestly don't remember, but they were close. I think Fargo won game 1 by only 2 runs and then Fargo won game 2 in the bottom of the seventh.

Wow, Dickinson dominated the worst team in the state. (When Walker isn't pitching)

i really dont think it would have mattered who they were playing. they just finished 2 back to back wood bat tournaments and the coaches of rapid city post 320 and el segundo, CA were very complimtntary of the way the riders hit in the bill newhouse tourney. the center field fence was almost 440ft. and they were hitting shots, only right at people. im pretty sure that after hitting with wood for 2 weeks it makes for a better aluminum hitter. nobody in ND could have beat them last night.

id have to agree frenzel and herauf both hit some bombs last night everyone was hitting the ball out of the park it seemed last night, from what ive heard el sugundo and and the las vegas teamed theyve played were problably better than any team in north dakota, and playing in the gopher classic will only let them see better teams so they prob will improve even more when they get back

dickinson beat coon rapids, MN--the #1 legion baseball team in minnesota 2-1 in the jablonsky wood bat and lost to durango las vegas 10-7 and they are the powerhouse of their area..these riders are no fluke, they are here for real and are gonna make some noise

just like they made noise in the state HS tournament. throw a good pitcher at them (sorenson) and they look like 3rd graders who just saw a curveball for the 1st time.

IVe been out to watch minot a few times this summer. They can look really good at times, but have lapses. they made a lot of costly errors against GF the other day, but hit the ball pretty well.

funny thing is they have seen real good pitchers from better teams and they are going to see even better pitchers when they go to the gopher classic, the bats werent hot at the at state williston was hot and i think we all know thats how it is if the riders are hot going into state idk if anyones going to stop um we will just have to wait and see

I wouldn't consider beating the worst team in the state with a 35 MPH wind blowing out at dickinson''s field "staying hot."

i meant that the way they have been playing, hitting has been great, and the pitching not that bad, if they can stay hot or get hot right before state idk know when has a team hit nine homeruns off jamestown this year in a doubleheader
