Two sophomores pitched for RR, Heisz (sp.) and Anderson.

I don't want to say RR was lucky, but... North outhit RR 7-2 in the first game and 8-1 in the second game. Tough to lose two games when you outhit a team 15-3. I assume RR pitchers had better control.

the jamestown/williston doubleheader has been either postponed or cancelled. cold and windy describes the buffalo city today. i sure wouldn't want to drive 600 miles to play in 20-degree weather. brrrrrrrrrr

Valley City threw a fresman the first game and a sophmore the second.... pretty sure they were just saving zitow for wapeton but im not saying valley had any chance in the first place just that it might not have been that ugly

I am guessing your right. Zitzow did pitch for a couple of innings late in the game, but not enough that he wouldn't be able to throw against Wapheton

century- 3
bismarck- 2
9 innings
W: Lund
L: Hochalter
the weather was terrible. winds of easily 20 mph and gusts even stronger. bhs scored 2 in the first on 4 hits then got one hit the rest of the game i think, but i am not totally sure. wentz pitched 8 innings. lund came on in the 9th. i believe johnson pitched the first 6 or 7 then hochalter came in.
wentz scored the winning run on a single by tate leapaldt
