Just want to know where the best places to play are.

in my opinion the 2 best ballparks in north dakota that i have played on are mandan memorial great shape awesome field perfect baseball field and the other would have to be aaffedt field in williston great layout and a great field

Yeah I agree, the fields in Williston and Mandan are in pretty good shape and great fields to play on.  I also like Minot's Corbett Field.

I think that it is unique at williston the Cement outfield lines. I have seen a couple balls hit there that hit the cements and jump all sorts of different ways.

I think Corbett and Jack Brown (Jamestown) are best for an old-school feel. Corbett is generally in immaculate shape as well. The seating isn't too good, but the field is awesome.

Williston is pretty good... never been to Mandan, but I've heard the newer Dickinson field is pretty nice too.

 

 

I think Jack Brown is the best field in the state.  Also Mandan, Williston, and Minot are right up there.  Probaly one of the worst fields in the state is Bismarck Municipal.  The grounds crew does a poor job on keeping up the field.  This field could be one of the nicest fields in the state, if they actually have people who can take care of it.

Mandan Memorial Ballpark and Minot's Corbett field, in my opinion are the two best ballparks in the state.  Aafedt in Williston is also very nice, but nothing comes close to the old school feeling that you get when you play in Minot (come on, the old school walls and the practice fields right in the ballpark) and Mandan.  Demolishing the old grandstand in Mandan took a little bit away from that, but the new grandstand is as close to the old one as it possible could be.

Was Mandan Memorial the park that had the renovations before the Legion Regional last year?

If so, what was changed or updated and what was it like before?

Is it a lot better now?

I know the state B had to be moved to Bismarck last year since the Mandan park wasn't ready.

 

Mandan Memorial was renovated last year to update the grandstand (the old wood one was not up to safety standards). The field was left relatively unchanged minus getting rid of some of the bad hops in the infield. Also, a new concession stand was added along with new bathrooms. The park did lose a bit of its old time charm but it is a top notch park.

Mandan's ballpark has great atmosphere, especially when the Mandan Chiefs and Bismarck Governors play games during the 4th of July. 

I've heard that the best playing surface in the state is Minot's Corbett Field (I have never played or stepped foot on that field though).  Hit the Buffalo in centerfield and win $100.

I love playing in Williston, they have a great field, but I think with Mandan's addition's they have one of the nicest if not the nicest field in the state. Minot and Jamestown also have really nice fields.

I was watching the news tonight and they had some aerial footage of the flooding in Fargo, looks like the playing field at Jack Williams Stadium is completely under water.  It was a quick shot but the only thing I could see was the tops of the press boxes and the light towers (no field, no dugouts, no seats, no outfield fence).

I think that Jack Brown Stadium in Jamestown is the best field, and has the most complete baseball feel to it. Has the best outfield in the state.

Jack Brown is a good field. Never got to play on it too much. Id say Memorial is my favorite though for sure. And probably Aafedt too, great foul lines, great memories.

I will state the obvious here but for a lefty it has to be Beulah I believe right field is around 290

Yeah but in beulah it gets decently deep rather quickly, like 375 in the power alley. Where in Jamestown, which is really short, i think even shorter than what the sign says (that's what someone told me) it just takes a pop fly, but I do see your point.

I have played at Bismarck Municipal, Mandan Memorial, and Jack Brown.  Jack Brown is by far my favorite because when you play and the grand stands are full it is an unbelievable atmosphere.

in my opinion the bismarck muni is a really poor feild not only do the employees not take any sort of care of it but it is also like an overgrown softball feild 415 to center is farther than most major league parks

Growing up I always liked the field in Hettinger.  The lake, Mirror Lake, and the games I remeber really are what make it special.  Saw(heard) a ball drop in the lake at about  2AM for for a game winning HR in extra innings.  Watched a kid who called time out to ask the coach if could just bunt hit a HR, 1st of his life. 

Jack Brown and Enderlins Field

I just got back from Enderlin and that was one of the coolest areas for a field and well kept... i think its one of the nicest

Enderlin's field was just awesome.  Trains going past the outfield walls and a highway down the first base line.  I would say its better than Jack Brown just becasue of where its placed.

Yes, Enderlin's field (Hedrickson) is in a perfect location for a field.  But I still have to go with Jack Brown.

Jack Brown Stadium is just amazing.  From the Ivy on the green monster to the authentic baseball feeling it gives off.
