Other people must think so too, because they hosted the Babe Ruth world series there a few years back, and also held the Midwest Regional tournament in the past two years.

Has any other ND town hosted a world series....jw

dickinson held the babe ruth world series in the late 1990's. its right on the back side of the press booth facing out to the street "home of the 199_ babe ruth world series"

bismarck would have a nice field if they didnt have 3 high schools and at least 1 college playing on it. with that many teams playing on it the field really takes a beating.

The actual field itself isnt that bad, but the atmosphere is brutal. it feels like youre in a cage at the zoo if youre in the outfield.

But if its in the ivy... Shake it, Find it, Play it

outfield was horrible there! the bleachers are gray so sometimes it was hard to see the ball off the bat, esp. in RF. Muni is just trash overall, they don't take good care of it, the bleachers make it hard to see the ball sometimes, it's just horrible.

dickinson would have a nice field if the park and rec guys would level some stuff out. they make the infield deep by dropping the drag spikes and then bad hops happen all the time. the mound needs to be taken care of better, they just pack the powder that gets dug out and think its good enough when they really need clay (same way with home plate). legion season is gonna be a change from the way it is now tho for sure.

Clay isnt always the best though... when that stuff gets wet good luck because there is nothing you can do about it but let it dry. Its great as long as it doesnt get wet plus its FAR better is the whole mound is clay not just an agrilime mound with clay over the top

dickinson has a dirt/clay mound and it gets so dug out right on the rubber and then on the stride foot that the mound is actually starting to slope to the right. packing clay in those spots would make that mound much bettterand it would level it out. dig out all of the powder and fill the holes with clay is what i meant.
