no with wood bats the teams that have better pitching will pull away from the teams that dont have the pitching

Willy wrote:You are putting too much on the wood bat thing,  but if you are correct, it will also make Red Rivers pitching better, right?

Didn't just about all the east contenders lose 2 or 3 studs from last year?

hey their pitching will be better but they rely on offense on that wont be as productive,  Central's JV team was absolutely horrible last year, they had numerous 8th graders, West Fargo's JV 15-runned them in 3 innings, so ill put central in the bottom half of the edc, another thing people havent thought about is team speed will really come into play with wood bats. I dont know alot about the WDA but Minot is always a safe bet for 1st. EDC Predictions:

1.South

2. Red River

3. West Fargo

4. North

5. Central

6. Shanley

7. Devils Lake

8. Wahpeton

9. Valley City

You are right, as a team, Centrals's JV wasn't very good last year, but they did have about three good players that were called up and contributed.

thats just my prediction.  anything can happen in one game.  Neither team shows a definite reason for one being way better than the other.

Losing Landry will be tough for central, but he, Greicar and Wedin were the only impact players they lost. The younger guys on that team will be able to step up and fill some roles and I think Central will compete again this year. Speaking of people getting too much credit, What makes you think shanley is going to state?

CHS and Central play on the 30th if weather permits and it will be a great measuring stick for both teams not only talent wise but adjustment wise with the woodys

i think shanley is gonna be a darkhorse team this year no one thinks they will go anywhere but with the stellar batting of dave nygaard not to mention hes a wall behind the plate and if your thinkin about stealing a base on ol' davey you better think again cuz u will be OUT
