The game is going to be played in Mandan and it is early to mid june dont know the exact date but i also heard they might be having events the night before like a home run derby, base running, infield stuff, accuraccy. i dont know if it is true but i think that would be awesome. the kids that went to mayville last year found themselves doing nothing the night before.

How are the players picked?

What is the format,   are class A and B combined?

class A and B are combined and the teams are picked by the coaches for that years team.  There is a class a coach and a class b coach picked for each team.  Who does everyone think is going to win??? last year the west one and i would expect them to do the same this year.

West would seem to have more class A talent.  I don't know as much about class B but guess there would be more kids to pick from in the east as there are more teams.  Should be a good game, Mandan will be a great host.

Who will be picked to go for each squad?

Minot - Lundy(if he comes back), Martinson, Houston, Hornecker

Mandan - Moch, J Quast

Dickinson - Frenzel, Schroeder

Bismarck - Earhardt, Wentz, Loomis or Bohan

DL - Lagein(if hes back), Preston

East

Fargo - Solumn, Scholl, Hanson

GF - not real sure aobut who is what age or who is coming back

Wahpeton - same as GF

West Fargo - ???

Valley City - ????

can guys come back from college to play in this? my gut tells me no, and if i am correct hanson and schoenberg won't be on the team
I never blame myself when I'm not hitting. I just blame the bat and if it keeps up, I change bats. After all, if I know it isn't my fault that I'm not hitting, how can I get mad at myself?

lundy isn't coming back so he won't be in the game. how about huettl? he had a stellar season for the vistas. solum i've heard isn't going to play legion because of football. from west fargo how about their first baseman, grant schmitt i think his name is?

Yes, Shmitt dropped bombs last year I remember in the Fargo tourney.  Totally forgot about Heutl, he will be there.  I'm pretty positive you can come back and play in it...for ex: Ryne Jungling of Mandan last year

i believe hanson and schoenberg are both too old to come back to play anyways.

GF players that might be considered would be Andy Sadler at catcher, pitchers Alex Kreis and Shawn Potter, and Eric Meland at short.  Potter is playing at Muscatine so you never know if those guys will return for Legion.

Isn't Josh Green supposed to be a good pitcher for DL?  Would he have done better with better coaching a better defense behind him?

Yes, Josh Green is a good pitcher, however he could be a lot better IMO. Speaking of him did he graduate?..if so where is he going to college or planning on going to college?
