there is only one more north player on that list than south players. south will be the best team in the east because theyll hit the ball hard and they have enough pitching depth to hold opponents to a few runs a game. instead of bashing me for putting one more north player than any other team, try contributing to the discussion.

FYI...Erhardt goes to St. Marys.

Speaking of St. Marys...is Bohan the only player they're losing from last season?

Well they're losing 2 ppl, but they return 8 starters (if you include pitcher) and top 2 pitchers.

I agree on the comments about Century stated before me, even if Wentz isnt healthy they still have enough players that will be able to produce and will still be one of the favorites in WDA.

Century doesnt have a dominate pitcher and in highschool ball u need one. Teams can throw there ace and number 2 practically every conference game. Without wentz(who would be the best pitcher in the west prolly the state) teams will have 2 to 3 pitchers better then anyone on there team. They  better hit the snot out of the ball if they want to win, which they are capable of.  If Wentz isnt pitching in the wda tourny i cant see them making state.

Then lets talk about Mandan, doubt they make state.

Haha your probably right they did lose 8 seniors, but with 2 of the top 10 pitchers in the west they should be in alot of games. Century will have a hard time doing that with no pitching at all!!!!!

I can guarentee Century has a WAY deeper pitching staff than Mandan, even without Wentz.

i believe the almighty century lost a game to mandan at state last spring, and i think their "deep pitching" gave up 12 runs to the lowly mandan. youd think all those great players century returns this year would have been able to outscore mandan. apparently not.

Last season is done with, why are we talking about "then"? We are talking about the 2007 season. Who does Mandan have that can throw besides Borr? Who was beat twice by Century..

i was trying to say that century returns so many great players from last year, but last year all those great players couldnt take down mandan when the game counted for something.

High heat, your missing the point, who said Century had a bunch of standouts? All that was said is that last year Century had all underclassman that threw. I'm putting 2 and 2 together here saying Century has a deeper pitching staff in 2007 considering everyone of those players are back and have bettered themselves since last season. Mandan lost 8 serniors according to Kel20 and Borr is all they have left on the hill. I'm not bashing anyone here, or bragging up Century, but I think it's fair to say Century has the advantage over Mandan in the 2007 season.

Jared Quast is the other pitcher im talking about.  If you ask alot of players that play for mandan they would say that Quast is a better pitcher then Borr.  Century doesnt have anyone close to those two.  Im not saying mandan is gonna be good im just saying without wentz Century is in alot of trouble.

i dont really know how good Borr is as a pitcher...no doubt he has great control but he is a  headcase from what ive seen and if you get into a pitchers head they might as well find a seat next to their head coach

I would take Alex Allen over both Borr and Quast

North will be one of the best. They have one of the top ss in the state in bombinger, also they have a solid outfield and a very good catcher in bergeron.
