good analysis JR. wf has a smart program and there gonna be moving up in varsity and legion standings in this next few years when some of the younger kids get older. and i believe that it will be bismarck vs. fargo to get into the championship game against wf this year and i think if austin zorn pitches for bismarck they will beat fargo handelly but not have anyone to throw against wf but if they dont pitch zorn i think fargo would score enough runs off there number 2 pitcher tyler richter

If west fargo is so smart and doesnt move up players why did landon utez play for the aces in the fargo tournament this past weekend?

Landon Uetz played for the aces because the aces only had 9 players. almost every game they need to bring up a player from the 15 year old team to play or else they would be very short on players. if it werent for that they would play all babe ruth

baseballstud is correct. aces do bring up a player from the 15 year olds due to lack of players

west fargo is not strong at EVERY level? the west fargo aces are not good. they have no defense or pitching. there hitting is nothing special. they should bring up some of the kids from the 15's to the aces because not that many of them will make patriots next year. if they wanted to have a stronger program they could bring the better players up to the aces. not many of the 15's even dressed varsity... let alone play. they probably wont even start for the patriots or varsity until their juniors.

their argument against bringing them up is that playing 14-15 year olds makes them better than playing 16-19 year olds.

From what I have gathered playing the 15 year olds they are playing, they will improve much more vs those teams than against the 17-19 year olds in section 1. Zorn, who threw well for Bismarck high, is better than any pitcher they will face in that section and im sure the teams in the omaha, iowa, and minnesota tournaments are better than most in not all teams in that section as well.

those teams in omaha, iowa and minnesota have their best 15 year olds playing up. maybe the aces should drop from section 1 and become a junior legion team instead of a class b team. that way they arent forced to play poor quality small town teams and they can go play mantle teams down in the cities or good small town teams in minnesota and south dakota.

I'm guessing you were being sarcastic but if not, that will never happen because you can't win a junior legion state championship or go to a state tournament there. They will always play legion B just like every other class A team's 16 year olds.

if there were any junior legion teams in the state outside of the fargo jets maybe there could be a state tournament for it. there is a regional tournament for it that is held in emporia, kansas this season.

A good example of the talent that the 15 year olds are playing against is this past week in Omaha. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th games of the tournament were USA Select teams composed of kids from all over the country. The 3rd game was a pool play game. They played the USA Select 16U team and lost only 8-6. The pitcher was being gunned at 81-83 consistantly and the players on the team mashed the ball. The 4th game of the tournament was against the USA Select 15U team, which was the game to get into the championship. The team was a very good team and they beat them 9-3. And the last game of the tournament the Championship they once again matched up with the 16U team. The kid was clocked at 85-87 consistantly and a couple times got gunned at 88 mph. That is competition that you just do not get at the Aces level

Man cant I just be happy that these guys are doing well playing at a very high level? I am just happy that they might be changing the way that West Fargo is going to be looked at for the years to come and regardless if my brother is on the team or not i would have the same feeling towards what they are accomplishing.

most of the 16U team was composed of kids from the southwest which half will be future Pac 10 players.
West Fargo lost 8-0 to the kid who threw 85-87, which would be why only 3 players played varsity

Minot just got done playing bismarck in a double header this Wed. and went 1 and 1. They beat Austin Zorn 1-2. This proves that Minot can stick with any team. Minot has a 3 and 2 record against Bismarck this year. Just goes to show you that it doesnt matter who the pitcher is. Minot 15yr olds have a great chance at taking the second spot to go to reagionals lets just see if they can get it done and play good baseball.

did you notice who west fargo threw the game you won? zach steckler who hasn't pitched a game that mattered since 12 year olds, and brendan sluke who has never pitched an inning in travel baseball. that is how good wf thinks you are. and how did fargo rock dahl? there wasn't 1 single hard hit ball the whole game, just a bunch of flares over the shortstop and first baseman.

Does Anybody From the West Know About Williston?
From What I Heard The Seedings In The WDA are:
1. Bismarck
2. Williston
3. Minot
...............................................

But Minot has beat Bismarck 3 out of 5 Games.

P.S. Quit Talking Fargo....You Guys Aren't even Close To The Teams In The West.
