4. Red River
5. Central
6. Fargo North

WDA
1. Bismarck High

I would put north ahead of central just because i can't remember any underclassmen from central, but i can remember a few from north.
Bismarck should dominate like usual.

sleeper team? red river. they have a lot of underclassmen coming back. i could be wrong i would not be surprised at all if they are better than 4 in the edc. they might compete for the 1 or 2 seed in the edc

why do you say that? i saw a lot of the players that started last year were juniors. they will be loaded with experience. so what is your reason for red river maybe getting 3 or 4 at best?

I see WF and South going at it for the EDC, and Bismarck will likely be in the title game against either or again. South/Bismarck match up likely, tradition seems to demand that South is there, haha. Would be nice to see a different EDC team in championship mix though.

red river has had talented teams before and fallen flat. they do have talented players...but the offensive line lost 4 starters.

unforunately for everyone else, west fargo and south can have down years in talent and still be the best teams in the EDC. that is why i think 3 at best and possibly 4th depending on how north and jamestown plays

they did lose 4 lineman. if the line is good i think they can compete for one or two in the edc. however, the line is the kicker. as we all know having a good line is crucial to any success in high school football

I am going out on a limb here. BHS and South play for it all in the end.

I don't know about the east, but i see the top 4 in the west like this:

1. Bismarck (Should run over every team they face)
2. Minot (Don't know why, but I see them up here in 2nd)
3. Century (Always seems to have a really good crew)
4. Williston (Lost a lot of weight, but got a decent crew returning)

You are underestimating Mandan. This year their sophomores went 7-2 and their freshmen went 7-1 beating every team by more than 20 except for their twelve point loss against bismarck without 4 starters.

WDA should look like this

1Mandan
2Bismarck
3Minot
4Century
5St. Mary's
6Dickinson

so you think a team with unexperienced junior and sophomore starters will beat a team with four returning all state players (bhs) good luck..

I'd have to agree. South loses an average amount of seniors, but should easily be able to reload, especially with Feeney. BHS is the same story. I don't see the WDA/EDC changing at the top too much.

I dont even think they have decided to actually split yet. One proposal is to do what Minot does and split 9-10 and 11-12 so that the packer backers dont get mad. It is going to be a crazy spring of decision making.

Fargo Souths is about 1000 more than West Fargo's so i dont see how it would be crappy and we can barely put together 1 good team with the exception of baseball( did not make edc last year) so i do not see why it would be so unfair to other edc teams and the year their having this new thing(they dont know what they are doing yet) would be when this years freshman are seniors

Well, to start off, WF is not splitting this coming year and probably not the year after that either.

WF should have an all senior line both ways, senior linebacking corp, returning QB, RB's with experience, and one returing DB.

So if WF can scrape some more DB's and some WR's with talent, speed and size, I would say WF for EDC.

BHS for WDA I'm pretty sure, but I dont think they will blow the entire state away like a South in 2006 type of thing.

BHS for state im thinking. they should be better than last year. look for them to spread it out and throw around with them returning every starting skill position on offense. and four legit receivers.
