I think West Fargo will win EDC, they have a lot of returning starters and experience. Bismarck will have the West easily and I wouldn't be surprised if it was Bismarck and West Fargo were going at it in the end.

Thats the funny thing with bhs next year... if a defense wants to bank on the running the ball the have the best qb in the state and 4 guys who could be right up there for the best receivers in the state(Kruger, Jolliffe,Deyle, and Miller)... if a team decides to defend the pass the they just turn around and hand it to the top running back in the state

Bismarck probably will beat every other west team by at least 2 TD's. They return alot of really good kids. They have Esley and Miller both coming back plus their JV team was solid. Nobody in the west will touch them. South or West Fargo should battle with them though. Just a side note: Do you guys think Dickinson will go winless 2 years in a row?

Same match-up as last year,...BHS coming out with the victory, the odds are really favoring their run game, special teams and the defense.

I don't disagree that BHS will be a good team next year, but I think everybody is underestimating Minot.
They have a whole lot of returning starters, and I think they'll put up quite a fight in the west

They may have a lot of starters returning but i think people underestimate what larson and bickle ment to that team....in my mind they were a above average team for the competition last year and without larson and bickle i think they would have been very average to below average... those 2 players ment a lot to minot high football last year and will be missed more then people think.

WDA should look like this

1Mandan
2Bismarck
3Minot
4Century
5St. Mary's
6Dickinson

i actually just got in trouble for laughing out loud during class...are u serious rite now? i mean i watched there sophmores last year and i know they werent anything good..and i saw the varsity and everyone knows they werent good. but u think that because the freshman were steam plowing people that there gunna be BHS? haha..

2010? Id have to go ahead and say

1. Bismarck
2. Century
3. Williston
4. Mandan
5. Minot

I think that the Bismarck and Century could switch spots, but I think they will be the two best. And I think 3-5 could go in any order, but I found this order to be most suitable.
I havent really seen what St. Mary's or Jamestown will have to offer, so they might be up there too, this is just from what I've seen.

jamestown and st.marys are no longer going to be in the wda...i would also like P4KNBD to elaborate if he is talking about the next football season (2009) of the football season 2 falls from now (2010)

West
Bismarck
Century
Dickinson
Minot
Willi
Mandan

East
South
North
West
Central
RR
Jamestown

Those are not my predictions thats just who is going to be in each region... I believe each team plays 4 non conference games at the beginning of the year and then 5 conference games.... this is going to make every conference game even more important than they were in previous years... i also think it makes for an interesting aspect that many of the first round games will be between teams that have already seen each other early in the year which adds a hole new aspect to the game...(teams may want revenge or teams may be high on themselves for winning a meaningless game early in the year)

Bismarck is going to be the best in the WDA/State by far...but in the east its kind of a toss up i see a lot of .500 records...no clear cut favorite like WDA

Bismarck should dominate everyone. they have the best quarterback in the state, the best running back in the state, probably the best fullback in the state, and the best overall receiving core in the state. and to top that, one of, it not the best defenses in the state. alot of returning players on both sides of the ball.

Bismark's quarterback is the best in the state, and the best the state has seen in a long time. But Jake Miller is probably the most overrated running back ever. He is good but people like JD McDougal from north and David Schmidt from west fargo had not as impacting numbers but made more of an impact in the game. And plus Ryan Smith is going to be the best running back next year, even if he is going to class II.

This entire quote is a joke, and is completely backwards. Esley is a decent to above average quarterback. BHS runs the ball 80% of the time, then will throw up some deep balls. The best the state has seen in awhile? what are you, a freshman or sophomore who just started watching football? Over the past 5 years he is not top 8. and with jake miller, hes the reason, along with the o-line that makes BHS's offense go. Whenever you start flirting with Weston Dressler comparisons, the most dominant high school AAA player in the past decade, you are not overrated. If Gibson was forced to choose between Jake Miller or Esley Thorton for the upcoming season, he would not even have to hesitate. No ill intentions towards Esley, he is still one heck of an athlete
