A bunch of questions: What's the best "guaranteed" game? Wahpeton at Century? How is Century's run defense? How about North vs. Williston? Didn't North play better against South than Williston?

1) Wahpeton/Century should be one of the better playoff games.
2) Run defense? Jake Miller just ran up 281 yards against Century last night. It will be interesting to see what they do with Ryan Smith next week.

Ya North did have a better game but Williston's defense has gotten a lot stronger since the 2nd week of the season.

Assuming the pairings are correct, I'll make my predictions. They'll probably end up completely wrong, they usually do. :)

WDA Play-in game:
Minot vs Jamestown
EDC Play-in game:
West Fargo vs Shanley

Week 1 (Quarterfinals):
Fargo South vs Minot
Wahpeton vs Century
Williston vs Fargo North
West Fargo vs Bismark High (Closest/best game of Quarters)

Week 2 (Semifinals)
Fargo South vs Wahpeton
West Fargo vs Williston

Week 3 (Finals - Dakota Bowl) -
Fargo South vs West Fargo

There's no chance West Fargo beats Bismarck again. West Fargo has gone backward as a team since they played the first time. Bismarck also didn't have Thorton playing, that's a huge difference. I see Bismarck winning by 2-3 touchdowns against whoever they play next saturday.

Not being demeaning or anything but, anyone who thinks Wiliston will beat north is obviously from the west and has never seen North play football. All i have heard from Wiliston is Qvale and another decent sized kid, north's run game will run all over them.

Ya...but anyone from the east hasn't seen Williston play except Fargo South. That was the 2nd week in the season and Williston's defense wasn't as good as it is now. Williston has a really good offense and their defense is coming along but we won't know till they play.

I've seen North play. Someone just like you said they were pretty good, so I expected a good game. It wasn't as Bismarck walked all over them.

North will beat Williston. I know Brent Qvale is going to Nebraska and is the best offensive lineman the state of north dakota has ever seen but one offensive lineman wont make the difference in this one. Williston hasnt got any better since week 2 against south, they just havent beaten any good teams. Wow they beat mandan and wow they beat st marys and wow they beat dickinson. North wins by 14 or more

No Minot is not any good at all this year actually. They lost to Shanley, and Shanley is 2-7

Shanley isn't as bad as their record shows...they have played well against alot of teams...no real blowouts!! The lost to North 16-12, South 32-8 (held a lead early), WF 24-0 (close the whole game), GFRR (tough loss), Century (close game on opening week), Detroit Lakes (aproximately 7-2 in MN), and Wahpeton (close until the end). They are in every game...their defense keeps them in it, however their offense is a little less then desirable!!

Its Playoff time and anything can happen!!

well that means that they cant win the close ones and thats kinda what u need to go anywhere in the playoffs. and how is a 24-0 game close?

I was just stating that no one really blew them out...on paper 24-0 looks bad; but the game was never over until midway through the 4th Quarter! Now I'm saying all this and I'm not even a huge supporter of Shanley football...I just think that Shanley deserves a little more credit than they are receiving!!

I think there is a slim chance north will beat Williston. Williston's line on both sides of the ball is too overpowering. Williston also has one of the best quarterbacks in the state who makes big plays. I have seen North play and i have played Williston. I say its close but Williston wins the game.

i agree that this game is gonna be a toss up. but even me being from williston i have to go with north on this one. i dont think that a lot of people know how much a 7 hour bus ride really takes out of you and i think that this will be a factor that will give north a slight edge. it will probably be the best game of the first round

By saying that I can tell yuor from the east. Because Williston has probably a top 3 quarterback, a decent running back, and an all state wide receiver. They also probably have the top 3 offenses in the state

Williston is not going to leave on Saturday morning...that wouldn't make any sense. They will probably practice before they leave on Friday. I'm guessing they would leave late morning or early afternoon, that way they can get to Fargo with plenty of time to rest.

Fine orr you obivously think being 420 miles away from home will have no affect on the players?
