I think Whap's running back may have broken 1,000 yards for the year already. Second time this year he went over 300 in a game. I haven't seen him run yet though anyone know what kind of athlete he is?

i think your talking about Ryan Smith. He's the fastest kid in the state now in track, and I've seen him and he looks pretty strong

No man he did not take third. The third place finisher was John Welk from Saint Mary's. Meaning he would be the fasted kid returning in the state.

Welk was 3rd in the 100/Smith was 4th......Smith was 3rd in the 200/Welk was 8th. Smith came into the stae meet with the fastest qualifying time in the 100 and 2nd fastest time in the 200...pretty impressive for a sophomore.

It will be interesting to see how he comes back from his broken leg though. I ran with him last year and he is an amazing athlete. I wish him all the best with the recovery and hopefully see him run this season.

Are there any stats on quarterbacks? I'd like to see whose the best quarterbacks in the state are at the moment.

I know that Jamestown's Quarterback Michael Bangs has thrown for 1,395 yards and 15 td passes. Also has rushed for 506 yards and 8 TDs

but all whapeton did was run the ball.. they threw for one touchdown yes.. but 95% of the time they run. any runningback should have a good chunk of yards.. not taking anything from ryan smith, i mean the kids fast at heck, and with that big line he shouldve had that many yards

true.. but bhs doesnt run the ball constantly for 4 quarters. they run a lot.. but also they way its been going.. the bhs starters dont play much of the 4th quarter.. and miller.. hes usually done by half-time.. so if he were to pla 4 quarters like smith and get the ball every carry.. he too would have the same amount of yards

I believe this michael bangs guy had 4-5 interceptions and 2-3 fumbles against century on JHS's homecoming game so i dont think he should be considered one of the best QB's in the state..

I seen the film of that game and wow is all i have to say...he made some very questionable and i mean VERY questionable throws...especially in the red zone. Hopefully he learns from his INT troubles over the off season and helps that offense rather than hinder it.

It has been sad over the last decade or so watching Jamestown struggle to put good teams on the field. It would be in the state's best interest for them to really improve to make things more interesting rather than having the same teams good every year.

Can you really base how good a player is by their performance in one game? Everyone has games when they can't seem to do anything right.

CHS loses to Fargo South. Neither team looked like they came out to play, and it would be a great game to see when both teams decided to get their act together.

Williston beat Sidney 28-20. Williston was up 22-0 in the second quarter, and Sidney slowly closed the gap the rest of the game
