Okay, if I'm reading the NDHSAA web site correctly, if we end up with a 3-way tie for second in the WDA, we go to this tiebreaker:

"Optional Tiebreaker:
Step 1. Among tied teams, the region record (*head-to-head competitions) determines placement.
*Head-to-head competitions are defined as an overall collective record among tied teams.
Step 2. If a tie still exists:
(A). The team with the highest point differential (17-point per game maximum) among those tied teams is first. Remove the first place team from the group.
(B). Repeat Step 2A until the region record between the remaining tied teams can be used.
CASE I: A five-team tie. Step 1, compare the point differentials among teams A, B, C, D and E. Team A has the highest point total. RULING: Team A is first. Then, the region record among the remaining tied teams, B is 2-1, C is 2-1, D is 1-2 and E is 1-2. In this case B & C are 2nd & 3rd as determined by region record with B. "

Century beat Williston, Minot beat Century, and Williston beat Minot, so that wouldn't break the tie. It'd have to go to point differential, and I'm not quite ambitious enough to try to track that down just yet :)

The only game that matters this week is the team that can beat south, and that is north, everyone in state should cheer them on.

I think Fargo North will give South a run for their money though. They are playing really well right now.

My picks will be 100% correct, such an easy week.

BISMARCK HIGH- will win by 24 or more, century is not good they lost to minot
WILLISTON- Qvale Qvale Qvale and more Qvale, coyotes roll
JAMESTOWN- these guys refuse to lose at home
SOUTH- game of the week close close game, hard to pick against these guys, i think they have won the last 3 of 4 state championships or something?
WAHPETON- shanley will lose another close one
RED RIVER- central is SO bad, 2005 Central team would be disappointed in this team
MINOT- no Elgie no problems (for this week), Mandan is a bad team also

I would like to congratulate Century on a very well battled game tonight. I was so impressed with them it was unbelievable. Dane Vanderpan did a very nice job of talking them up. Great job by all the BHS players. The front line of Eric Klein, Tyler Karel, Shawn Jenner, Alex Granfor, and Colin Bales did a magnificent job. Esley Thorton did a great job behind center tonight. Jake Miller was one yard shy of the BHS single game rushing record. Great Job by him. The secondary stepped their game up. Esley, Austin Gunderson, Calvin Krueger, Jake Miller, Nick "Bones" Jollife shut down the Century passing game. The BHS offense showed why they are the best in the state. Putting up 35 points on the most overrated defense in the state. Great job men. 3 more to go! Lets go get West Fargo next week!

The game was close for the first quarter, after that BHS took over the game. Century got clowned out there all the rest of the game. they were very much overrated and BHS proved who the best team in the west region. GO DEMONS!!!

i am going to the about as humble as i can when saying this but i just want to point out how everyone talks about how bhs fans are so full of themselves on this website and i think their has been 1 post since last nights game from a bhs fan. Now i am almost certain that if CHS somehow would have won there would be at least 5-10 posts saying "i told you so" and talking about how CHS is so much better than BHS. So what i am trying to say is don't bash our fans for having pride, their the best fans in the state!

Well said, Squeak.......Or they (CHS) would take out a full page "ad" in their yearbook that they beat BHS in football. ; ) It sounds like it was a great high school football game....looking forward to the playoffs.

They're coming out of the woodwork!

Its a big deal to CHS when CHS tops BHS in anything! BHS is the bigger school, and it's fun for the smaller school come out on top sometimes. BHS wins in virtually everything except academic prowess.:D

I'll take my bets on Fargo South, it's worked the majority of the time in the last four years.
I think a large portion of the state would like to see the South dynasty take a topple, but I don't see it happening before the school breaks up in 2012.
