Most don't remember Dale Hertel or the great teams he coached. He had guys go d-1 to the university of minnesota.

I think Darin Duin (sp) played at South and went to Nebraska and Chris (QB) can't recall a last name went to Stanford. Not to mention all of the talent that stayed local.

I played on the BHS team this last season and I believe the guys returning are going to have what it takes to upset South and beat Minot. They have worked hard so far in the offseason just about everyone of the juniors and sophmores are lifting everyday and running. I see BHS going to state next year and brining it back to the West. imo

of course you say that....your biased....i think belcourts gonna take because i go there

Haha! St.Marys has a better chance then Belcourt does. I think it will be between South and BHS next season. I dont know who South has coming back, but with the coach South has they will find guys to contend. Minot will be in the mix too, but there JV team wasnt the greatest. It will be a fun year to watch high school football. I think the state game will be a lot closer then it has been the past couple of years, and I see BHS playing South for the title.

I've played at south for 3 years. pretty much backed up catlin for most of the time. even watching feeney coach catlin and the others you learn stuff as well. if you dont listen to the coaches when they coach one of your teamates and the same thing happens to you the coaches arent afraid to bring it out in front of the whole team and show everyone and make a fool of you. we work hard in the offseason like every other team. id have to say that the coaching staff at south gets the job done also they crack jokes and make you laugh. this is my last year heading off to college and the funny thing is that many of the players wanted to still have practice after the season ended for us. we all have a blast with the coaches.

I will say this, South has the best weight training programs for football then any other high school. Feeney is a god to them and they completely respect him and his program. They do have tons of kids to choose from, but that doesn't take away from the offseason training they do. Show me another school who year after year is one of the biggest teams in the state during football. They also have an outstanding weight training room which is another reason they get so big.
