So whos is going to be the top work horse in 2012 ?

From what I have heard about Layne Johs, I would say he has to be the front runner for Running Backs.

totally agree with linebacker, wouldn't be surprised if johs didn't rush for over 2,000 yards this yr with over 35 td's. kid is just a beast.

Peter saintal. It hasn't changed in much people's minds it comes down to if he will start out slow and be consistent

Chase Fugere from Bishop Ryan was 2nd team all state AA last year transfered to Minot High School this year. Watch for him to have a great year.

Wouldn't he have to sit out a year?

I'm not sure, this is just a rumor that I heard. Maybe he won't have to sit out a year since the 2 schools are in different classes, I could be wrong.

Different classes doesn't mean anything in transferring...

What grade is Fugere in?

Fugere is a Senior this year

I guess he can't sit because it's his last year.
By the way, how did you guys find out that he transferred?

Does anyone know if Karter Gorney is gonna be a RB for Minot High this year?

nobody on here knows for sure that he has transferred

Yes Fugere would have to sit if he did transfer but he didn't. He is still at Bishop Ryan. No idea where this transfer rumor came from

I don't think Lampert will start at RB. He is a fulltime LB and sometimes KR,not much else. All respect to Lampert, he is a good athlete, but if he starts, i think there in trouble.

I have heard from some people that Gorney will start at RB. Last year he was on the freshmen team but this year he has been moved up to varsity. Last year at the state track meet, I believe he qualified for the 100M Final. So he is very fast.

P.S. you must not be from Minot LOL

Minot's main tailbacks will probably be Larson and Lampert. Larson should have a good year. The kid is just an all around great athlete. My bet for the best RB in the state is Saintal and Johs.

Yes im agreeing with Saintal and Johs, but didnt Saintal not have such an impressive season last year? that is what ive heard. And Larson and Lampert are both great athletes, who's the biggest of the two?

Used to live in minot a couple of years ago! and speed needs to match his power too, so lets hope hes got a little bit of that.

Let me say he not a small kid.

In the practices this year, he never goes down on first contact.

Larson is definitely bigger than lampert. Probably has about 20 pounds on him and about Saintal you have to factor in how small and inexperienced North's line was last year. If their line this year is decent, I bet he will have a great year.

Larson and Gorney should be the ball carriers for MHS, whether it plays out that way not so sure.

I'd rather see lampert anyday, he's just as fast if not faster, I don't know if he does track like gorney but I would take experience over him. anyways saintal should be the best in this state if his line holds up.

Gorney would have to be exceptional to start as a sophomore for Minot. Lampert plays baseball and doesn't run track. First game against North and Santai should be a good indication of how Minots' run offense and run defense will be. Looks to me like AAA teams will be competing this year to see who plays Bismarck in championship game.
