I heard that coach Cahill has called it a career.

Any ideas about coaches within the program taking over or coaches from the area that are interested?

Program has struggled for a number of years so it will be interesting to see where the administration goes for rebuilding.

I know current staffers Fletcher and Ukestad are throwing their hat in the ring, and I heard Cory Anderson's name come up in a conversation, also Bill Nelson.

It will be a tough turnaround for anyone, Jamestown has the kids they have a 444 male enrolment, pleny kids to compete, they just don't want to do what's hard right now.

Thanks I didn't think there would be much interest out of the area.

No word on applications, but as Gridiron said all those ppl withh try plus possibly Dan Smith and BJ Etzold. Smith was a weight lifting coach in Texas for a 5 time defending state football team and D-line coach at Jamestown College. Etzold is just outta college but played in college and his dad was the coach at JC for 10+, plus Etzold knows football very well....BHS players should know who Etzold is he played for them like 5 years ago, then went to Umary then JC...Very good player in college

Any updates?

I have heard that up to 5 current staffers have applied. That doesn't sound like there was a great working relationship. Timeline? Interviews?

I asked a person who applied and they said that the names of those who have applied cannot be released, plus they are waiting for a teaching spot to open up for the new coach if he were to be from out of town.

The new coach is Tim Fletcher. Long time assisstant and great football player. Hopefully he builds this failed program.
