Which players deserve to be on the allstate team? Who would be the recievers and running backs and their backups??? Or quarterback??

Just from games I have watched at skill positions.

QB - Devin Coyle - Mandan
RB - Layne Johs - Bismarck
RB - Seth Westby - Mandan
WR - Aaron Janz - Mandan
WR - Devin Schirado - Bismarck
LB - Kolton Larson - Minot
LB - Tyler Sadowsky - Mandan
LB - Reed Hendrickson - Bismarck

I'm definitely missing out on some. These are just people that dominated when I watched.

I would think that is more than obvious. I sign my name to my posts. Not that it matters.

Coyle is returning all state, as is Janz. Sadowsky and Westby had great seasons on a top 3 team in North Dakota AAA. I will be suprised if any of my picks from Mandan are wrong. I could have thrown more in, but then I would have been reaching, and I want to go with pretty safe picks.

Even if he is from Mandan, all of those players from Mandan are solid picks, it and would not surprise me to see them make the allstate team.

I would say that RB Austin Nelson and LB Chris Sommer from Devils Lake would be good candidates

Who??

Chris Sommer- Middle linebacker from Devils Lake- Was All State last year in AA. He has shown great improvement over last year while moving up to tougher competition in AAA.

Austin Nelson- Running Back from Devils Lake- Second in Rushing yards in the EDC.

I was at the mandan vs red river game today and trey fitzsimmons of mandan got his sixth interception of the year and had 2 returned for a touchdown that were both over 60 yards but were called back cause of block to the back calls. He was also breaking up passes all game, his name is worth mentioning.

Braden Lysne of minot has 7 interceptions on the year and no passes against him in the minot v DL game

LB/FB-Kolton Larson-Minot High

WR-Brandon vanDuesen-Minot High, very good reciever when he gets thrown to

Secondary- Drew wiseman, Deion Volk, Brett Adams. Lee Braunagel - these by far are the best in the state in the secondary

I would agree with the secondary. Brett Adams starts both sides of the ball so doesn't play all downs on defense but is quick and can catch the ball. Last year I believe he led BHS with interceptions and only started the last 4 or 5 games.

I'm impressed with everyone in Bismarck's secondary. Brett Adam is a shut down corner, Lee Braunagel seems to lead BHS in tackles, Nick Goulet has 5 or 6 picks, and Josh Seibel has 3 picks I believe.

i think trey fitzsimmons and nathan schmidt of mandan are the best two defensive backs in the wda if not the state.

and for interceptions you have to realize it is easier for a safety to get one, not a corner. they can read the ball a lot easier than a corner. so safeties like goulet should have 5 or 6 picks, most corners dont have more than 5 in a year.

This is true, but not many safeties have that amount of picks this year. But I am definitely impressed with Fitzsimmons. He and Seibel are the top two corner backs in my opinion.

yeah Fitzsimmons is definitely something special in the Mandan secondary and Schmidt is very good too. It is too bad for Mandan that Zittleman got hurt, he was also very good.

maybe we should throw joey fuher into the mix? he leds chs with solo tackles (as said by the bismarck tribune) he is a good run stopper... not much for interceptions though.
