However Saintal was SHUT DOWN by Minot...

Saintal is good...but I doubt that he's in the Top 3.

It took Saintal 30 carries to get 160 yards or somewhere around there?

Top runningback in the state, Seth Westby from Mandan.

Next I would go with Johs from BHS.

I think the best running back TANDEM in the state will will have to be (THUNDER & LIGHTNING) Kolton Larson
& Adam Melom from Minot High .

Maji, I'm asking you to not bring this down on Minot, from one Magi fan to another. Please don't do this. Minot is a good team but they are not great.

How can you say that? Minot hasn't shown any weaknesses. Also, Minot is the only team to play pretty much perfect through to weeks (0 points allowed). And you can't say they did't play any body, because they beat Fargo North 31-0. North just beat the #1 team in AA, and North is also a favorite this week against South.
Minot beat Grand Forks Central 45-0. Though Central is horrible, they scored 7 points against Mandan, but scored nothing against Minot.

congrats Minot just beat two of the poorer teams from the east...just wait till they have to play the likes of Bismarck, Mandan, Century...

Maji, Minot does have a weakness and that is to run straight at them. GFC run the ball pretty good between the tackles. As far as Mandan giving up 7 pts and Minot giving up 0. That don't mean nothing. Mandan may have put there JV in earlier then Minot's. Minot's JV was not in that long during the GFC game. It's not how many pts you give up, it's about what you do against quality teams. So far, from where I sit, Minot has not played a quality team yet.

well alot can happen in a season you win your first two games doesn't make you the best. We also know those bad teams can get better, but this discussion was suppose to be on runningbacks not teams

Kolton Larson from Minot had 116 yards on 9 carries against GF Central. Can't tell you what he did against North.

needless to say 116yards on 9 carries is pretty darn good. Michael cherwinski for dickinson had 89 yards on 11 carries againts miles city.

Westby from Mandan is the toughest runner I've seen in the state. He never goes down on the first hit. Last week in Jamestown (not the best D, but..) he averaged 9.5 a carry and 4 TD's. Thats solid right there.
He's gotta be talked about with being top 3 in the state for running backs.

I personaly think mandan has a great team. I would say westby is one of the top three. It will be great to watch them play century and BHS. I think alot of these back will have good games and lots of yards againts these weaker teams. So I think we should wait until they play a legit team and we will see whos the best

I would think scoring twelve touchdowns in four games would make for a pretty standout runningback.
In my opinion it would be Layne Johs.

Layne is an animal. I hope he continues his successful season. I am also a big fan of Seth Westby.

Seth Westby is by far the best back in the state. He can block, tackle, score the touchdown, snap the ball, and kick the extra point. The boy will fill up the Gatorade cooler, walk the dog, and paint your back porch.
