Standings after Week 1:

Central Mclean 2-0
Mott/Regent 2-0
Hettinger/Scran 2-0
Divide County 2-0
Beach 1-1
Shiloh 1-1
Trenton 0-2
Parshall 0-2
Center 0-2
Bowma 0-2

Central Mclean looks like the team to beat after a 40-0 trouncing of a strong Beach team. We will see this week when they host Mott/Regent. They are a much more physical team than M/R, but maybe M/R's strong passing attack can keep them in it. Mott/Regent has CM, Beach, and Hettinger all in the next 3 weeks, so they can't afford any bad games against those three if they want a playoff spot. Another game this week to watch is Divide County vs. Hettinger/Scranton. DC has the long roadtrip to Hettinger, and maybe Hettinger will be able to steal one from a possibly stiff Maroon team.

Here is my outlook after the first week:

Contending for Region Title:
Central Mclean
Divide County
Mott/Regent

Fighting for Playoffs:
Beach
Hettinger/Scranton
Possibly a Shiloh or Center

Non-Contenders:
Parshall
Trenton
Bowman County

I really think that both Shiloh and Center are improving and if they can catch one of the top teams on a bad night, they could find themselves playing meaningful games at the end of the year.

I agree Central McLean looks like the team to beat, tough and physical up front. Hettinger actually has to go to Divide County this week, will be interesting to see if they will be up for the game after the long bus ride.

Well, I think this should be an interesting week to finally really see where teams are at. The Central Mclean, Mott game should be a good one, I just think that Central McLean will be too much, they look like an excellent, physical team, but Mott with Mosbrucker is a really good team. I think Beach wins by a couple scores over TTC, and Parshall will get by Bowman, Bowman seems to be really hurting for numbers and are just too young this year. I think Center will get by Shiloh, but that should be a good game too. I think Divide will get by Hettinger, DC seems pretty big andphysical, and after the long drive I think they'll be too much for Hettinger. Thoughts from anyone else? I saw everyone in Dickinson, but tough to gauge some of the matchups with the blowouts that took place

Doesnt seem to be much region 4 talk. What does everyone think so far? I still have CM as the best team, and obviously with the best win, beating Mott. Where do you guys see DC at? They have big kids to match up with CM, but I still think CM will wear them down. DC Mott should be an interesting game too. Those games are at the end of the year, so we won't know for sure til then. I'm gonna take CM, then DC, then Mott, pretty close with all three though.

Two big games with playoff implications this week. Hettinger vs Beach. Beach cannot afford another loss with 3 already. I think Beach will win this game though as they are deeper. Shiloh vs Mott. Both are one loss teams but with only 15 players it will be hard for Shiloh to keep up in the second half. See Mott winning this one.

Jake HardyQB/RB of Beach suffered a season ending injury in 3rd quarter of the Hettinger game last week. Torn ACL/MCL. Big loss for them. As he was a huge part of their offense. He had 271 rushing yards in the game when he went down. Sounds like he will miss all of the BB season also. Tough break for the Senior.

DC and CM are 7-0
Mott/Regent is 6-1

MR plays DC this Friday
DC plays CM next week.

This could go a couple ways (I take for granted that CM beats Hettinger this week and MR beats TTC next week)
If MR beats DC and DC beats CM, then it is a 3-way tie for 1st
If MR beats DC and DC loses to CM, then its 1-CM 2-MR 3-DC
If DC beats both MR and CM, its 1-DC 2-CM 3-MR
If DC beats MR and loses to CM its 1-CM 2-DC 3-MR

For the battle for 4th
Hettinger, Shiloh, and Beach are all 4-3
Shiloh plays Beach and Hettinger next two weeks
Hettinger plays CM and Beach plays Bowman in their other two games
(taking for granted that Beach will beat Bowman and CM will beat Hettinger)
If Shiloh wins out, they get 4th
If Beach wins out, they get 4th
If Shiloh beats Beach, but loses to Hettinger, there will be a 3 way tie.

I think DC will lose to both MR and CM, and Shiloh will beat Beach, but lose to Hettinger
So, I believ it will be
1- CM
2- MR
3- DC
4-Hettinger, Shiloh, or Beach (depending on power points, Beach already is at +14)

Two good articles this week on the DC vs Mott-Regent match-up. Check out the Dickinson Press and the
Bismarck Tribune( Class B notes). Should be a great game with DC coming out on top!

And DC did come out on top....28-6....very good game from what I could tell 8-6 half time and then DC opened it up in the second half.

Will be either CM or DC 1 and 2 this year...both have seperated themselves from the rest.
