Wouldn't DC be one of the least affected teams if they move to a 4 region format?

Being the farthest northwest, that's highly unlikely, but actually irrelevant. The point is valid for all teams, but more so for the west.

Anyone seen the latest plan with the 4 divisions laid out? Travel is now beyond a joke. DC is moving from the farthest trip at 130 miles to where that is close. Five of the ten are now greater than 200 miles, up to 265, and only 2 are closer than the 130. These games have got to be earlier in the day or at a closer third site. Sure we would travel 6 hours for hockey, but at least we would get 3 games in on one trip.

No, the East wants us to "stop being provincial" and spread the wealth. Funny, how it never seems to work the other way. Maybe they should take a drive on some of the roads they expect us to travel 260 miles on.
I'm thinking a land hovercraft would work!

Seriously, it would be much better to have 8 five team regions, with the top 2 in the play-offs. This is just high school and your talking about teams with as few as 20 kids (make that 15). Nine league games is an aggressive college schedule.

Even the Big 10 teams only play 8 conference games.

why was it that st john and wells met in the quarterfinals. shouldnt the top 2 teams in the region only meet in the semis? just another flaw in the playoff system.

Thompson played NB and Wyndmere played Hillsboro in the quarters too. Yeah, I think that is pretty stupid too. I was going to take some time and try to come up with a better plan, but now that they're moving to 4 regions I probably won't.
