Edited. Read the part of the rules where you are not supposed to be bashing others. Sure St. John lost alot of talent but if u took the time to look all the people can be replaced like for instance lance slater can be replaced with the freshman kid Anderson the kid is gonna be a monster if he just sticks to the weights and stays healthy and u will have Collin Vandal and Mitch Slater coming in the backfield along with Counts and Bryant who is one of the best Qb's in the state for the option at WR u will have Zach Wilkie or Derek Demers u see people think that st john will not have a shot for a state title now but they have alot of playoff experience unlike Dunseith who hasent seen a playoff game is the last decade.

Grant Singer has got to be one of the top returning backs in the State for Central Mclean he had 30 touchdowns, he has alot of his buddies coming back too.

Is this topic just for Region 4 backs or for all teams? And does backs mean quarterbacks, runningbacks, and recievers or just runningbacks?

No, Nate Arnold graduates this year. Ellendale will have another good one in the backfield in Josh Morrissey.
We plan and God laughs.

Singer will lose 2 all-conference linemen, and a stud full back. However the young kids will step it up in the line. The coaching staff has a few younger head knockers to help Singer get a step. I look for Singer to be the one to catch in 09

Malzer is a one sport kid.

I agree that Singer will be one of the best backs in the state, But I don't think CM returns alot of other threats, so teams will key on him even more than last year.

Grant Singer is a great back. Also, watch out for the Keller kid from Mott/Regent. Over a thousand yards and 14 touchdowns last season as a sophomore.

Well i think that some of the best young backs will come out of the st john area this year from what i have watched at a couple of games they are some pretty tough runners you will have from what i saw in the later parts of the season Bryant (QB) Counts (FB) Slater and Vandal rotating in at (RB) and well we will just have to wait and see what the entire season turns out as good luck to all teams this coming up year!!!

I think Jake Ruff from CM looks like he may be able to take some of the pressure off of Singer this year. He bounced back from his ankle injury to have a great track season and ran some pretty decent 100 times (11.6 - 12.0 range). Should be a nice compliment around the edge to the hammer that Grant is.
